The first movie that began an entire franchise. Perfect fix of comedy and wild action along with character development in a simple story line with no hints towards a sequel.
Partially due to me being a prehistoric fanatic, this movie was enjoyable to me. Action, scenery and most of all suspense is brought to this film plus a final message that real dinosaurs can never be truly replaced.
Same as the first KFP movie. The only difference is this movie made it clear there would be a sequel and what that sequel would entail.
This movie is not as bad as people say it is though the spread action scenes had a lot to do with it. The transformation of two "allies" into the two greatest villains along with the Republic into the Empire would set the stage for what the sequels would be all about
The first and only times we ever get to see a specific Jedi and Sith as well as the early beginnings of the boy that would become the most iconic villain of the franchise. Before him of course was an equally badass villain. Great scenery too on the planet Naboo.
Regardless of what you think of Michael Bay, you have to admit he did great with this movie. Cool music soundtracks and some level of respect for the potential threat of the enemy plus the franchises' greatest antagonist at his most badass form thus far.
The most symbolic Star Wars movie in my opinion and the turning point of the Empire. Great action sequences in a final clash between the good and the evil for the galaxy.
The first and the original of the Ice Age movie franchise that at least had some significance to it unlike its sequels that look nothing like it. Humour is also appropriate and makes sense at the right time and good character interaction and development.
If it weren't for the dinosaurs, this movie would be a lot lower on the list. A rather basic cliche plot of rescuing a friend and discovering a new world which I must say has some of the most spectacular scenery in animation. There is perfect suspense however leading towards the main villain.
So many questions about this movie and I don't even know where to begin not to mention the magnitude of the threat that was at hand. The humour and character interaction was okay at best.
I tried to capture the feel of this iconic movie but it didn't happen. It is still a good movie nevertheless.
Is it me or do the Decepticons including their signature villain keep getting weaker and weaker with every movie? This has become a laughing stock but I can push that aside as the story is somewhat intriguing. Still they wasted a perfectly good new villain.
Not much to comment about this as I didn't find this movie as interesting as other SW movies except the final action scenes.
If you can beat them, make them. I've longed for a Transformer movie that would not feature any pesky humans whatsoever and make it a full on robots only film. Nonetheless, the franchise' signature villain is badass only but with a different name.
If the effects were better I'd probably like this movie better too but I can't blame them for the resources and technology they had at the time.
While still a good movie, I cringe at the idea that apes and elephant seals can become pirates before humans? Plus the plot is even more basic and cliche. The humour to me seems very much forced into us.
The worst Transformer movie in my opinion so far. Still a good movie but the story becomes more of a mess, the Decepticons are getting one-shotted by humans alone plus the main villain only has 5 minutes of screen time.
If it weren't for the dinosaurs, this movie would be left off this list completely. This movie served no purpose than to reveal a new island, a new villain (just for the sake of it) and sacrificing so many people just to rescue a single boy with absolutely no sympathy for those losses. WTF?
