The Mazoi Champion
When Marisol was four years old, a storm in the Persian Gulf caused her parent's yacht to capsize just on Gato Island's outskirts. Mazoi guards saved her and her mother; shortly after being brought ashore, Marisol's mother told them to care for the girl just before dying.
Marisol was taken into the Mazoi Society and raised by Elder Hatzu. The young child was placed into a mental rehabilitation program to deal with losing both parents. Once she completed the training, at the age of 10, She began to learn how to hunt, farm, train and was given an education.
When Marisol turned 17, she became a warrior member of the Mazoi. Having undergone the official training of the Mazoi, Marisol is a better-unarmed combatant than Catalina in base form. She is also the youngest member to win the Mazoi Gauntlet and the first person ever to win it back to back.
The new Mazoi society voted Marisol to be the official "Champion" of their Island, feeling that Catalina belongs to the outside world. Marisol's job consists of patrolling the island, training, and the occasional mission to the outside world.
The Legacy Initiative
Upon the launch of Catalina's Legacy Initiative, Marisol signed on to assist. Despite Catalina being the Ambassador to the Mazoi, Marisol has absolute authority to act in the best interest of the Mazoi. She has the authority to admit men, women, and children to Gato Island, whether it be temporary or long term.
Marisol and Catalina often clash over Mazoi Affairs, but Marisol respects the work Cat has put into changing the world.
