Can't wait for this game! Never seen anything like that weird dialogue between Arrow and Hawkgirl in one of these before...is that what happens when 2 players specials manage to parry each other?

I agree it's being fought based on popularity more than anything.

For this reason, my predictions in the 1/4s

  • Batman vs Wonder Woman
  • Flash vs Joker
  • Aquaman vs Green Lantern
  • Superman vs Green Arrow

In comics, I think you'd get the opposite result in all of these except Supes vs Arrow, but this bracket was clearly set up for a Batman/Joker Semi and a Batman/Superman Finale.

With that in mind, my predictions for the semis will be:

  • Batman vs Joker
  • Aquaman vs Superman

Playoff will be

  • Joker vs Aquaman

And Final will be a rather frustrating tie and a "buy the game and find out for yourself who wins!" comment...

@akbogert: I think I'm on the fence with Superman. With supes and Batman, you're dealing with archetypes representing absolutes (or even perfection), so to see him reacting in blind rage and so terminally towards something is, for me at least, pretty discomforting, regardless of the reason behind it.

If that were gospel though, a battles game like Injustice would never happen, so I think it's worth taking the hit on this one for the sake of the game. I think the event itself was really good and if it did occur in the main run, would raise a lot of questions.

I like the Harley Quinn in this book. Personality-wise, she reminds me of the old animated series :)

@akbogert: haha me and you seem to be like oil and water on here at times!

I just think in the CV community people get really worked up about out-of-character moments and inconsistencies, and if they're going to find them anywhere, it'll be in Injustice. You, yourself wrote a pretty impressive piece on Dennis Hopeless recently for similar reasons (congrats on it btw, always nice to see a rant on here with some actual backing).

I personally liked the book and just picked up Injustice: Gods Among Us #1 yesterday (harder to find) as a result. Issue 1 was brutal! I'll probably give it a 4/5 when I do my next batch of write-ups on Wednesday. What did you think? I take it you're picking up the digitals so are further ahead in it?

With Grant Morrison writing him? Krypto may well be holding all the power of the universe in the palm of his...erm...paw...

Could may well have picked up some powers in the Phantom Zone...who knows?

@Franchise1590: was just wondering what it meant when it said it'd get people angrier than they were after asm700...probably just a ploy, but if it isn't...what could possibly upset people more?

I'd like to see it inside his mind a bit too, mabye chasing and battling each other through their momories...or even through their mental circuitry?

Picked up Marvel Previews today for May 2013 and saw this:

Superior No More! The hottest comic in comics comes to a turning point that will get you angrier than you were after Spidey #700!

No Caption Provided

So what do you think is going to happen? Will Sp-Ock really be done with after 9 issues? I never thought it would last, but I was hoping to at least get a year out of it...will it be Parker back in the suit straight away?
