@world_breaker_elmo: I'm thinking on it, I may scan it again, it kind of misses out a lot of the detail I put in there :) Thanks for the comment, make sure you check out my facebook page if you want new stuff regularly :)
Good to be back! I have a few pieces that I have recently completed that I have just realised I never posted on ComicVine, I hope you like them :)
I'm still learning Photoshop, I've only really been doing it on and off over 5 months, so if you have any useful websites on this kind of thing feel free to post.
Also, I have a smallish facebook page that I want to grow. If you could just click that 'like' button it would make my day :) http://www.facebook.com/AdamMartinArt
@judasnixon: Thanks for the suggestions mate! This will help a lot :) Yeah I like acrylic painting personally, but I also love inks and penciling. I just love a variety basically. Anyone else who has similar styles to Jock and Ash Wood?
@violens Again thanks for the help, I'm not keen on the first suggestion, buy Ralph Steadman is a beast! I'll look into him for sure.
Hey guys, loving the new look! Anyway, I need your help.
I am in the process of art coursework for my AS levels, and I need 2 artists to study. I have selected one already, Ashley Wood, the guy behind the awesome artwork for Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. However, to balance things out I feel like I need a 'proper' non commercial artist to study, who does work in a similar style to artists like Sean Murphy, and Jock. I lost marks for my last project because I focused too much on more commercial artists because being a comic book fanatic, that's just force of habit. But that does not go down as well in a fine art AS level haha.
So in summary, would you kindly suggest any artists not involved in the comic book industry, who experiment with the figure, and have similar art styles to Sean Murphy, or Jock? I'm looking for someone with a contemporary, cool relevant feel to these two artists that I could draw inspiration from.
Anyone with a similar style to the above would be great :) Any form of response soon would be great, the deadline is in 2 weeks.
@Aiden Cross: @Fetts: @bennyq: @clemj: @RamsIllustrations: Thanks for the feedback guys! I completely forgot about this thread, it was only when Rams replied to my comment I actually rediscovered my own thread! lol
