Alright this is just a idea i have been kicking around for awhile.
It's kinda a DCU feel, just with the scope of the plot and characters involved in it. 
 
Krypton, BOOM!, gone (check). Rocket ship to Earth (check), Raised by the Kents (check). Grew up in Smallville (check). A new born baby could come out of the womb and hold a press conference on this Origins story.  
 
Word of warning i do not claim to be a expert of any kind on these characters and i have not yet read Earth 1: Superman, it's in the mail as we speak. 
 
Well here i go! 
 
I feel that Superman's big reveal, his coming out party to the world, would be handled differently by the public but most of all by Lex Luthor. 
 For a villain who is toted to be of high intellect, i think that he could give Superman a run for his money out of the gates. 
 Work with me,  
1. Lex is crazy rich 
2. smart  
3. diabolical etc., etc.. 
Lex wouldn't blow his load with a big show to take Supes down, not right away anyway. Lex would start to buy up media outlets big and small. Through Lexcorp itself and other offshore companies. That would be step one, through the media Lex could chip away at him and it wouldn't be him saying it. Hell look at companies in todays worlds, i have no idea who owns who or who works for who. Lex's tactics wouldn't be only the negative undertone "smear" campaign against Superman. If you are going to take a Hero down you need to fill the void for the public's sake. One of the knocks that Lex makes known about Superman in the comics is that he is a Alien. The Last Son of Krypton, not the Last Son of Earth, but Krypton. The Media would start to build up other "heroes", Human Heroes. Just a few of them would be let's say Batman and Green Arrow for example.
