What the conclusion of your story is about..

Found online:

Keep in mind that, while the climax is the moment when the decisive event occurs, plot development is a process that occurs throughout your novel. The reader must see how main character is/behaves at the start of the novel, and see how his nature is challenged by the Story Goal. After the climax, you must show the reader the outcome, and how it is good or bad for the main character.

After you have decided on these plot development issues, revise your plot summary to reflect your story dynamics.

Super Durability Inspired By Videogames..

Durability is often the hardest thing to wrap your head around when it comes to supers, as it often is inconsistent..so I came up with this:

Hero name: Jumper. I like this because she is balanced and yet able to survive superhuman damage for a while.

Classic Videogame style Durability: If she is shot through, burned, or hit with enough force she will automatically flash transparently like in the old Super Mario Brothers. For a short time she won't be able to be hurt, as any damage will go though her. She has nanites in her blood that give her an inner HUD that shows her health bar. When the health bar is depleted she will take damage like a normal human. Strangely enough, landing on her feet does not hurt her no matter how high a distance she falls from LOL. Landing any other way would make her lose health if the fall was high.

Almost flight: When she jumps she can actually move forward or backwards as much as she wants until she falls back to Earth. She can jump ten feet high but can jump higher by charging her jumps. Every ten seconds she gains another ten feet while charging. So by waiting ten seconds before jumping she could jump 20 feet and so on. While charging her other powers won't work. Each jump would require a fresh charge if she wanted to go higher than 10 feet. She can move while charging BTW.

Power Mask: Wearing it gives her these optical powers:

X-ray vision: See through most solids except lead.

Thermal Vision: She can detect heat sources.

Telescopic vision: She can see stuff from far away.

Density beams (move like Omega beams): These require so much power that all her other powers won't work when using this. She cannot turn her head or else risk turning them off. Once fired they won't stop until they hit something. They can be dodged, but one must be swift. Not necessarily superhuman.

The effect: They can make hit objects less or more dense. It just depends on what she wants. The beams are orange and shoot from her eyes while she wears the mask.

My Superheroes final look..(again I know LOL..)

Power set:

Mono-directional Flight: She typically flies standing up. She can fly forward, backward, or side to side, but only one direction at a time. So she can't do fancy maneuvers like a plane but it don't matter, because she get's around fine. She can survive stopping suddenly at high speed due to having an...

Uncrushable Body: Yeah she can be squeezed and compressed, but only so far. Her body is also resistant to burns

Alpha Beams: Move and bend like Darkseids did in JLU. And yes they can be dodged since they move like Darkseid's did in JLU, but you have to have fast reflexes. Once fired they won't stop until they hit something and require such focus that she can't move her head or else risk turning them off.

Alpha beam effect: Kind of like a restricted omega sanction in reverse. It automatically zaps a person or thing 24 hours into the future. They materialize 24 hours later in the same spot. It's great for BFR, allowing her time to either escape or prep.

Super Strength: Unlimited, but you know what isn't? Her stamina, which means that she will get tired sooner or later, depending on what she's lifting. She doesn't tire at all until she lifts anything that weighs a ton or more. That is not saying she CAN'T lift waaay more, it's just saying that lifting a ton or higher repeatedly will tire her out eventually.

Other Characters: Rana (her real name, she uses other aliases)

Species: Murkon

Status: Banished

Abilities:

Keen sense of smell, like a dogs. Fortunately they can turn it on and off at will, so when they don't want to smell everything they can scale it back to human levels.

Shapeshifting: They can shift to look like any biological creature with limitations. They cannot shift to look like inanimate objects. All they have to do is touch someone and they can shift to look exactly like the person they touch. However this is limited, they cannot shift to look like anyone of the opposite sex. They can hold the shape for an hour. After that they must revert back to their normal look or risk keeping the look they are pretending to be. If they go past 60 minutes not only will they keep the new look, they will also lose any shapeshifting powers they have. Murkons cannot fool each other, because of their keen sense of smell.

Life Span: 20 years but they have a huge catch to that. First, they mature at 3 years of age. Second, they DON'T age. When they die, they just lose consciousness and die. But that is not the end of the matter. Every turn of the century those that have died are reborn off family trees on the home planet. They get a different body but have the same personality and memories. The family trees are literal trees that grow them once every century. However a Murkon that die's off world, or away from any family trees will die permanently. On the home world or near a family tree, the moment they lose consciousness in death all their memories are uploaded into a family tree. This is a sore spot for all of the Murkons who are off-world that have been banished. Murkons can and do procreate as well.

Persona: Murkons only have 3 emotions. Joy, fear, and anger. They don't know what sorrow nor regret means, because they have never felt either. The only thing that keeps their society from ripping apart is logic. They have rules that work logically, and their society is based on it. Those that object are summarily banished from the home world.

Roughly What My My Superhero Looks Like..

No Caption Provided

Bluejay: Real name: Claire Guthrie. Age: 20.

Personality: Confident and adventurous. She toned that waay down (being adventurous) after her mother died in a sky diving incident she invited her on. Talented with music. Tragic circumstances can and do derail her goals at times, even if she has the ability to focus on and complete them. With time, she can get over them and start once more. Of course this had a huge effect on her in the story, and will be brought out.

Powers:

Blue Color Kinesis: Can telekinetically control any solid object that's blue. Flight is permitted thanks to the color of clothing she wears. This power is innate and does not require anything more than blue objects to work with.

Power Mask: The mask grants the wearer 100 ton class strength and near invulnerability (she would still be thrown back by bullets, just not killed, the only way to put her down would be suffocation). If removed somehow from the wearer, the wearer will lose the power after a full minute passes. The mask sticks to the skin like a magnet, but can be removed.

Creating A Superhero While Being Consistent

No Caption Provided

I tried making a superheroine but lacked consistency with her power set. They were all over the place. So after people urged me to be consistent, I came up with this.

Only problem is I am not sure how she gets her powers, I guess heat is involved somehow.

Guess I will call her Blaze.

Fire Shield Aura: It is 2 inches off her. Objects trying to penertrate it are vaporized. She is immune to heat obviously. She can also turn it off on certain body parts, which allows her to walk without burning the ground. If you threw a car at her and it landed on her, there would be a body size hole where it landed.

Oxygen Blast: She can generate oxygen from her lungs and blow it out. With the fire aura you can guess what that would do. Without fire it is enough to blow stuff down.

Flight: Useful for obvious reasons, she can't speed blitz though, her speed is gradual.

So as far as enemies go, H2H or even projectiles would not be a good idea at all. Shockwaves would work, electricity too, not much else though.

Projectiles would only work if filled with knockout gas I suppose. Or explosives, only because of the shockwave. The only things getting through her aura would have to be extremely durable, unless she lowered the temperature on purpose because she didn't want to wound the person or thing hitting her. At max temperature, her aura is as hot as a nuke going off at point blank range. Which is enough to vaporize all but the most durable of things.

Making Flight Superpower More Of a Challenge

MOS - HC Extended
MOS - HC Extended

Flight while being awesome is also kind of boring in that it is too easy to use. So I have thought of two ways to modify it in video games and also for my fanfic characters.

  1. Character can fly at whatever speed they run without slowing. Fortunately they have no limit to their running speed. The acceleration would be as fast as a normal human, so it would take a while to go really fast. Once they start flying they cannot increase speed, they can only drop out of flight mode and turn it back on again, going whatever speed they are currently moving. This would prevent characters from relying on flight as a crutch all the time. They would definitely have to work for it.

  1. Character can fall upward, forward, or backward. Quicker to go fast but a lot less control, because you can only fall one direction. Granted if your falling forward already while you decide to fall upward, you will still be falling forward for a while; depends on your speed.

Don't you guys think this would be fun for characters? Making flight more of a challenge? I think it would be a cool concept to try for a video game.

Coloring Eyes Is A Pain In The Butt

But I finally pulled it off. Here she is...how I meant her to look all along but it took time to figure out the controls.

Claire in office clothes and her costume.

Powers include:

Flight: No limit to her top speed, can accelerate as fast as a 747. So no use trying to go light speed, it would take her too long I think. Besides the fact that she would die if she did.

Ten Ton Lifting Strength

Speed Force: Protective aura that allows her to keep accelerating while running without hurting herself or clothing/shoes. There is no top speed but her acceleration is at normal human levels, it just has no limit. If she hit a building going fast she will suffer. Her reflexes are normal.

Universal Magnetism: She can stick to anything at a whim. Even wearing shoes or gloves.

Enhanced Durablity: Bullets and knives will only leave a red mark on her, won't even puncture the skin. She can still die, it would just be harder.

What Would The World Be Like IF You could Pay for Superpowers

If you had to pay for superpowers, some things would and should be more expensive.

Flight: 1 million dolllars: The holy grail of superheroes. No limit to your top speed but you would accelerate as fast as a 747. So no use trying to go light speed, it would take you too long I think. Besides the fact that you'd die if you did.

Ten Ton Lifting Strength: Two thousand dollars. It allows you to lift heavy stuff, although you still can't jump or run faster than normal humans.

Speed Force: 5 thousand dollars: Protective aura that allows you to keep accelerating while running without hurting self or clothing/shoes. There is no top speed but your acceleration is at normal human levels, it just has no limit. If you hit a building going fast you will die. Your reflexes remain the same.

Universal Magnetism: 500 dollars: You can stick to anything at a whim. Even wearings shoes or gloves.

Metal Telekinesis: 2 million dollars: You can manipulate up to 8 pieces of metal at a time, up to a 30 ft range. Better than magnetism because it works on ALL metals.

Portal Control: 1 million dollars: You can make a ring portal just by drawing one in the air with your finger. You can use it to travel to spots instantly if you have two portals open at different locations.

Enhanced Durablity: 9 million dollars: Bullets and knives will only leave a red mark on you, won't even puncture the skin. You can still die, it would just be harder.

People must register when buying superpowers, hey this might make a good fanfic idea. : )

Which Character Do You Prefer?

Claire is the first one. She is my main character but I will incorporate these as well.

The second is called Dollargirl: She can generate or shoot streams of dollars or any type of coins from her hand. She is in two different costumes.

The third is Mal.

Which character do you prefer? Costume and look?
