Based purely on volume of feats, yeah Cap wins by default. However despite showings of Cap being super-human he has been shown to be very human at times. Losing/having drawn out fights with people who in essence are just people like Crossbones, Taskmaster, Batroc, Raorfist etc, with no/little superhuman adjustments. Surely if he is super rock throwing multi-storey jumping superhuman people like Crossboes should have been a one time meeting in which Cap put his fist through him? The Halo story isn't set up like a comic book story, being slightly more grounded (for instance the fight with Namor if done in the Halo books context would have ended with Cap either dead or crippled the second Namor slammed his back into the wall - Spartan's don't use half measures and people don't survive things they shouldn't.) and grittier. He has no re-occuring villians per se and them being out of the suits is pretty much counter productive, so there are few things to show off; But the stats (of a 14 year old)stand and matched up to Cap's he is more than capable of winning.

As to MC's feats outside of armour there are few. Although the ones we have are from a little time after augmentations they would later grow into. The performances from then would only improve. MC is now 41 - he would have improved a whole lot by then. Even just using the stats of a 14 year old MC he is more than capable on handling Cap. Spartan III's for the most part they wore SPI armour that didn't boost strength/speed. Some examples from Ghosts of Onyx: 'Jackals and Elites rushed from their cover in the factory to meet the rest of Beta Company on the field, realizing perhaps it would be suicide to face Spartans in close quarters. Thousands of Covenant clashed with two hundred Spartans in open combat. Tracer rounds, crystal shards, plasma bolts, and flaring shields made the scene a blur of chaos. The SPARTAN-IIIs moved with speed and reflexes no Covenant could follow. They dodged, snapped necks and limbs, and with captured energy swords they cut through the enemy until the field ran with rivers of gore and blue blood.' 'There was motion in Kelly's peripheral vision, a blur. She spun and saw a ghostly figure, moving toward her faster than any human could move. Kelly sidestepped, grabbed the arm, twisted. Her opponent reverse-twisted and countered the lock. Whatever it was, it wasn't human; otherwise Kelly would have ripped its human arm from the socket. Her opponent twisted her wrist and escaped from Kelly's grip. Kelly was still faster - her other hand lashed out, palm flat, and impacted the solar plexus. The other figure flew back two meters, hit a tree, and slumped.'(This depicted a fight between Kelly - the fastest spartan - in her Mjolnir armour fighting aspartan III not in Mjolnir armour.) From Halo Evolutions: Pariah - Soren, 14 years old - a failed/deformed spartan just awoken from enhancment surgeries. 'There were men and women in white coats all around him, but keeping a little distance, except for one, trying to approach him from just behind his head, almost out of sight, with a raised hypodermic. They were all moving slowly, too slowly, as if something was wrong with them, as if they were underwater. He tugged at the strap again and it tore like paper, and then he tugged at the other wrist and both hands were free. He was still screaming, couldn‘t stop. He reached out and grabbed the hand with the hypodermic in it and squeezed, was surprised how quickly his fingers reacted and even more surprised to hear the bones in the man‘s wrist cracking like dry wood as they snapped. The sound the bones made was uncomfortably loud. He caught the hypodermic before it hit the floor, jabbing it into the neck of a man on the other side of him, who went down without a sound. The other hand was already tearing the straps off his legs. Some of the others had started to turn now, turning to flee the table, but they were moving so slowly—what was wrong with them? The pain was making it hard to think. He lashed out, struck the nearest one in the back with his fist, was surprised to see the man‘s body slam into the far wall and then collapse, leaving a blot of blood on the wall where he had struck.' From Halo: First Strike MC putting to use the hours upon hours of martial arts training he had by experts: The Brute bellowed, and globules of spittle spattered onto theChief's visor. It leaned closer, screwing its massive hands tighter around his throat.John's vision narrowed. His windpipe swelled, and he gagged.Shields were at one quarter charge. It'd have to be enough.John had been in similar death-grip holds before—endlesshours of training on the wrestling mats with his teammates andmartial arts specialists provided by Chief Mendez. There wereways to escape a larger, stronger opponent. And there were alwayscountermoves to those escapes. And countermoves to thosecounters. It was like a game of chess, except the pieces were arms and legs, torque and your center of mass and most importantlyyour mind.He pulled his knees to his chest, and tucked his torso towardhis pelvis at the same time. He twisted ninety degrees and shotout both legs and arms, and uncoiled his body. The maneuverwas called "shrimping." John's head slipped from the Brute's grasp. He used the monster's split second of disorientation to scrambleonto its back. John brought his elbow down on the base of theBrute's neck. He swept out its elbow, wrenched the joint around, and pushed it as far as it would go—far past the point any human'sor Elite's would have snapped. John scissored his legswide and pushed against the floor, leveraging his body to keepthe Brute pinned. It growled and pushed itself and John up with its one free arm."No. You. Don't." John still clutched a frag grenade in his left hand. He flickedthe arming pin—reached around and under, and thrust it into theBrute's belt—then withdrew, sweeping out its one arm holdingthem up.The Brute dropped onto the floor and screamed with rage. The grenade detonated. It lifted them both a meter, and theylanded again ... this time accompanied by a wet, pulpy smackas the Brute's dead hulk slammed into the ground. The Master Chief rolled off and sprang to his feet and lookedfor Blue Team. Spartan Adrianna out of Mjolnir from Halo: Cole Protocol What we don’t need, is some Earth-lovin’ she-hulk skulking about our bars, asking about things that ain’t none of her business,” another man snapped. “Hey now,” Delgado said. “Hey now what?” The leader reached over and grabbed Adriana’s shoulder. “Now listen here!” She shrugged his hand off and pushed it back. The stout miner staggered slightly, and for a moment, the whole group paused. Then the miner surged back, grabbing at Adriana’s shirt collar again. “You—” This time she grabbed his hand and twisted it. “Don’t touch me.” She didn’t ask this, she stated it. Like it was a fact.A second man swore and lunged for her as well. “We’ll do whatever the hell wewant.”He grabbed for her arm, but she grabbed his instead and jerked it.Now she had both men by an arm, twisting their hands back around. “Now listento me,” Adriana snapped. “If I want to ask after the Kestrel, or anything else thatstrikes my fancy, what makes you think you could stop me?”The air in the bar suddenly broke, and the faux politeness dropped. “None of thatstuff ain’t none of your business, bitch!” another miner screamed. He threw a punch.Adriana let go of the two arms she held and grabbed the punch out of midair. She pulled the man toward her and slammed his head into the table. The table gave way and splintered where the man’s head struck it. He fell throughthe destroyed wood onto the floor in between Adriana and Delgado.A fight erupted, the whole bar streaming their way in, Delgado cursing as hepushed his way back farther into the booth. He hadn’t wanted to get involved, but theentire bar had already assumed they were working together.Adriana ripped the remains of the table out of the ground with a grunt. She heldthe large pedestal that had anchored it into the floor out in front of her with one hand, keeping the angry men at bay as she tapped her ear. “Yeah, okay, let’s bug out.” There obviously aren't going to be many un-Mjolnir CQC showings, Halo is a militiristic story with a wider scope than fighting a handfull of goons or some B-list re-occouring villain. Spartans kill. They don't generally have these multi-panel one-on-one fights. They see a weakness exploit and leave the enemy dead in a pool of blood and guts.

@RiseOfApocolypse: I don't believe thats the reason he left at all. At the end of that comic he makes a peace pact with Odin not to look for the seed. So the intention was there, but the risk of losing a fight with the Odinstroyer was also there - thus a stalemate - thus peace....for now.

Last time Odin got in the Destroyer armour Galactus high tailed it into outerspace. Galactus wanted no part of that action. Odinstroyer wins it.

They could kill him under the first scenario. Sniper bullet/antimatter beam through the eye to the brain - k.o. His eyes aren't really invulmerable, Wolverine manage to harm them with bone claws. Wolverine nearly killed the Hulk by continually stabbing his jugular. Spartans/Elites with Plasma swords could achieve this. They're DEFINETLY fast enough to avoid and strike. Frigates utilising MAC's would murder him.

Borg. Why do they have fewer numbers than the Reapers?

MC is strong (average Spartan is probably around 4-5 ton range)but as far as i know the tank flipping thing is a game mechanic. The shield could get through the armour if thrown by someone with a mean arm - i just don't see Cap 1 being able to hit MC with and 2. hitting with enough force to get through the armour let alone the shield. The armour also has an impact absorbing layer - hence surviving falls from so high up.

BORG. Mass effect Kinetic barriers won't do much to protect against photons/plasma ect so the borg can actually score hits. The Borg ship also adapts very quickly so its a real possibility Sovereing's weaponary becomes obsolete. Also they could 'port units onboard Soverieng to take it over from the inside.

MC has a super advantage fully suited up. The regenerating shield i would say is pretty much impenetrable to someone like Cap. The shield [Cap's that is] wouldn't be worth much - i don't see M getting hit by it. MC's reflexes are beyond Cap.

@BigCimmerian: In Chaos King i don't remember it being expressed that anyone was augmented. It's a possibility but others under the sway of the Chaos King didn't seem boosted. I think Galactus just ASSUMED he was more powerful than them. Afterall Thor has put the hurt on Galactus and this was way before he got the Odinforce. As to the Odin headbutt - Odin was playing possum. He didn't do into the Odin sleep; he transferred himself into the Destroyer and summoned Mjolnir - Galactus didn't want any of that action and fled. Odin out thought and overpowered Galactus. As for the statement about a sated Galactus; when was the last time Odin actually had an Odinsleep since his return? Also bearing in mind he created a world from scratch in Fear Itself. So who is to say this was a fully powered Odin?
