This is fantastic news, to hear that he's even OPEN to it, but I can't help but feel the headline is a little much. He didn't flat-out say he wants to extend. Just that if Marvel wanted him to continue, he'd do it.
Thankfully. Even I was afraid of overstuffing, and Marvel has yet to do me personally as a consumer wrong. I think it also would've taken the intrigue out of what Hulk did at the end of AoU if we see him back the very next time we see most of these characters.
@inferiorego: Ha, I get that, but just know that things are nowhere *near* unintelligible. Not a massive difference. Besides, we appreciate the podcasts however they're recorded.
Some people are alluding to it in their comments but I guess I will flat out ask it... Is this called Captain America: White so we dont confuse it with the new Captain America because hes black? No matter what the reason behind it is... this is a poorly thought out title...
It's sort of bad timing for that reason, but no, has nothing to do with Sam Wilson at all. In fact, this miniseries has been in the works for quite a long time. Loeb & Sale's previous Marvel works were also named after colors, particularly ones that correlate with the character's origins. Hulk: Grey (as he originally was), Daredevil: Yellow (original suit was yellow), and Spider-Man (Blue).
Daredevil: Yellow in particular was great, as was this duo's Batman stories, The Long Halloween & Dark Victory. Very excited for this.
I *think* there have been delays on those, so they probably stopped soliciting until they're ready to come out. Just my guess.
Do we know who is taking over after Fiona Staples? I see Annie Wu (which is FANTASTIC!) is doing issue four, but I have to imagine her and Staples will not be on for the long haul. How about Waid? Is he on long-term?
