It's the same thing as with digital books. I can see the point in it, and I love the fact the technology has progressed to the point that we're able to do it, but I personally wouldn't be able to go digital, at least not to any major degree. I prefer the feel of the paper in my hand, the smell of the ink.
However, for some people it would be a blessing to have it all digital. It's much easier to find a specific book when you just have to type into a search bar, or something similar. With print you have to go into your closet, figure out which of 4 (or more) boxes has what you're looking for, and then search through that. Yeah, there are ways to organize them, but it still requires a bit of work to find that specific issue.
I think, too, it goes to the fact that you can store a theoretically infinite amount of digital comics in a limited space, whereas each print issue takes up space, and that really adds up.
And finally, we get to the flipside of the value thing. Sure, you won't be able to sell your digital copies later on, but at the same time you can go in and buy a classic issue for 2 or 3 bucks, or less in some cases.
So again, I see the benefits, but it's just not right for me.
