Forgotten Character Limbo has appeared in the Animal Man series and Canceled Comic Limbo has appeared in Sensational She-Hulk and The old Ka-Zar series.
Marvel does like to retcon to keep up with their movie releases (Nick Fury forming the Avengers). Personally I think the 50's Captain America would of been a nice touch to the team.
@perry_411: Kryptonians don't use the same alphabet as we do, it's just a "coincidence" that it's an "s". It's "really" just the family crest. I believe a full figure "8" denotes royalty.
