@xlab3000: Sinless, of course. Otherwise he wouldn't have been in the garden at all. Sinless = a state of no sin, Adam before the Fall clearly qualifies.
Also, has already explained, evil in that verse means punishment for sin, hence why some refer to it as "calamity" or simply "bad times." It clearly doesn't mean evil in the metaphysical sense anymore than it means darkness as substance because darkness is simply lack of light. That is a state of non-creation. You don't need to create nothing. It is simply a statement of omnipotence.
Just Curious... but technically isn't the First Sin what Lucifer did in Heaven when he rebel against GOD and GOD had him kicked out of Heaven ? I thought that happened first as it was Lucifer / Satan in the form of a Serpent who tempted Eve in the Garden afterwards.
Another problem would be why would GOD allow Satan to come into the Garden to mess stuff up anyways.
