So I need a little help from all you fine 'Viners out there. I'm starting a new composition that features old version of DC/Marvel characters. So far from the Marvel camp I've got Wolverine (Old Man Logan/Hooded Man), the Hulk (Maestro), Thor (King Thor), and Spider-man (Last Stand), and from the DC stable I'm thinking Superman (Superman Beyond), Batman (DKR), the Flash (Kingdom Come), and a fourth DC character that I haven't locked down yet.

Can anyone help me out by providing me with some older DC heroes/heroines? From the the small amount of research I've done, it seems like DC doesn't do the 'aged characters' thing very often.

(ps. I'm trying to use characters from different futures/universes. I'd rather not have 2 ppl from the same timeline)

(pps. I've got a much longer list of old Marvel heroes including Captain Marvel, Cannonball, Hyperion, etc. but for my own sake cut it down to 4 and 4)

ya probably. if Kid-Kang came back to 616 and lived out a 'good guy' life, then that would create an alternate 'good' Kang thats different from the ones that came before, and the true 'bad' Kang would still live on as he had a different life/history

EMH and Avengers Assemble dont take place in the same universe. when it was first announced that AA was coming out they mentioned that the two shows would be connected but soon after that they denied that claim. on the wiki it mentions that Hank Pym was formerly known as Ant-man but had retired and gave to job to Scott, and the Wasp is not mentioned. in Episode 1 Iron Man mentions that he's reassembling the team and in scenes of the Avengers mansion theres a statue/memorial area. No names are given for any of the (8) statues but it can be assumed there was another group of Avengers before the current group. AA resembles the movie universe more then the previous cartoon so it could be assume that the original Wasp is dead, or retired alongside Pym. the lack of Banner thing kinda bothers me as he hasnt been seen at all, but the Agents of SMASH wiki says that Hulk cant turn back into Banner even when hes calm, so who knows whats up with that. Spidey and SMASH are wacky and more random then AA because theyre geared towards younger children then AA is

Cannonball, Moonstar, Wolfsbane, Karma, Sunspot and Magik. youve got diversity there anda range of powers but nothing that cant be/hasnt been done in the X-men movies before. I'd love to see the Purifiers in a movie, or the Reavers if they cant be used

I dont necessarily want to X-men to join the MCU, however I wouldnt mind seeing the X-movies backed by some of that Disney dough. After the release of SW ep.7 I realized just how much more marketing there was around the Star Wars franchise. it was on every billboard, restaurant and commercial, and the same could be said for the Marvel movies that have been made since Disney bought them. theres more time and money being devoted towards marketing and making sure the characters are presented in as many mediums as possible. I think the X-men movies could do well with the increased marketing power, not to mention theres a chance that the quality of the movie will go up if there's more money behind the various projects. I guess we'll just have to see what happens after the reboot

@takeshi57: hey I said it makes sense, I never said I liked it. that is a good analogy though
