@kcaz: Is that actually a fact? That King Yahma took away some of their power. Has it actually been stated somewhere in the manga or are you just making an assumption? As for the Yamcha thing, it makes sense for them to have really become that much more powerful after training with King Kai. Look at Piccolo as an example, even before he absorbed Nail, he would've been at least strong enough to take on First Form Frieza. Otherwise there would've not been much point in even reviving him and it's unlikely that absorbing Nail added more than 200,000 max to his PL. As for the Pikkon thing, it was all a filler arc anyway so it's strictly not canon and should be disregarded.

actually, its quite a safe assumption, since there is quite a lot of proof, since ALL the villians became super weak after they died. king yahma can do whatever he wants after the body dies. he can reincarnate the soul like he did to kid buu, provide them with better bodies like he did to the heros. he even gave vegeta back his body during the buu saga, when the rules stated that vegeta should have been casted to hell with the other villians. so if he has the power to give stronger bodies to the heros, surely he has the power to do the opposite and give weaker bodies to the villians. goku himself stated that the body he was given in the spirit world was more powerful than his original body, thats why he was not able to sustain ssj3 when fighting kid buu in his original body
Wait, Goku easily defeated both Frieza and Cell in GT. Why is this thread still unlocked, this a clear stomp. Even if GT is bullshit and incredibly inconsistent, this fight has already happened. It's implied that Goku took them out at least a few times but because they're already dead they just stood back up. Also he was just messing around with them in base form.
goku at the end of dbz would stomp perfect cell easily, even in his ssj form. but dead frieza and cell from gt or dbz are far weaker than the original versions. because when they died, king yahma had most of their power removed and cast them to hell. thats why even weaklings like yamcha was able to defeat the ginyu force during the frieza saga, and pikon easily crushed perfect cell and frieza with just a fraction of his power, even though he was fighting evenly with ssj1 goku who couldn't defeat perfect cell
