I'm posting this up again but without the DC Logo because that might get me into legal trouble. Instead I just have my drawing with simple credits given to the publisher below. I am still not happy about the new version of Hawkman, althoughit started to get better with issue 17. Hopefully it pulls off something in the end.

If you want to see some of my other Hawkman comics, check out the Tumblr site: http://thenotsavagehawkman.tumblr.com/

This is all fan-made and not intended to create profit. However I am making a statement here because as a fan I want them to know how I feel. And so I drew some stuff...

I feel for you Hulk. This is all we ever get with Batman...

It's time for others to come out of the shadows, almost like The Hulk comes out of Dr. Banner...

@Manbehindthewires: Thanks for sharing. I will surely look into these. The more of his work I see the more I love it (and also more faith in Hawkman). I'm currently reading the Silver Age Hawkman Archive Vol. 1 and like you say, it's almost like effortless talent that he puts forth.

@Manbehindthewires: Thanks and I am aware of classic Hawkman, particularly Silver Age when Gardner Fox was still around. And yes, I know about Joe Kubert and was a bit saddened to hear he passed away last year. I do have some Silver Age Hawkman which was contributed greatly by Kubert. I love his art style very much and feel it was probably the best Hawkman style to be passed down.

I will try to get that Joe Kubert Presents since he may have some good stuff. I've seen videos of him and he is a very inspiring comic book artist. A true legend. Would have loved to meet him had he still been alive.

I'd say the Thanagarian Katar Hol because he can just change the name to Carter Hall, like how some alien immigrants change their foreign names to be more in line with a certain country's status. That way he's essentially both.

The same goes for Shayera, who becomes Shiera (and then has a descendant named Kendra who is freaked out by reincarnated Carter Highlander Hawkman who is actually still Thanagarian and all that jazz that makes the crazy continuity issues of the Hawkman series) xP

It happened; DC has recently announced that The Savage Hawkman will be cancelled. There goes another effort for the Winged Warrior. Can't say much about his partner either. It was such a pity since DC's New 52 would have been a nice way to start things over. Instead we get more retcon and dry storytelling with shallow characters. Oh, and Rob Liefeld.

I really could not find anything redeeming about this series compared to New 52's Action Comics, Wonder Woman or even Aquaman. I always thought Hawkman was pretty high up there in the status of DC's heroes. Now he's just drunk, divorced and dead inside.

That said, anyone still have lingering faith in the Hawkman superhero? I know I do; just look at my profile! But what do you guys think of all this? Are you hoping for more stuff with Hawkman in it?
