Infinity was great. Can't wait for the rest of the event.

It's a welcome change since most of the events after Siege have been...Pardon the language utter crap most of the time. Hickman is awesome.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642:

Lol, true about the poor quality of Marvel's events., but I'm pretty optimistic that Hickman will deliver something great with Infinity.

@wolverine08: Agreed. His AvX issues were the best of the series. He's great with these whole cosmic huge events I think it suits him well whereas for some writers it doesn't. Like Matt Fraction. I really enjoyed the first issue and even though I seem to be in the minority on this one I've been loving his Avengers run so far so this is even better.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642:

I love Hickman's Avengers too. I think most of the dislike for it comes from the fact that it so deep and complex that you really have to work to grasp the scope of his story.

@wolverine08: Agree completely I love the book. Most people complain that it's slow which I think is funny since most of those people also complain about how everything in some other books happens so fast. I think it's a welcome change that it's moving slowly developing the story letting it unfold on it's own but now with Infinity it's bound to ramp up the stakes etc. Love what Marvel Now has done for Marvel. It's breathed new life into the company that was lost after Fear Itself ruined everything for the next Year for Marvel until Marvel Now

@wolverine08: @theincrediblesuperhulk8642: Infinity was great, and although not spectacular it has tons of potential, and I have much more confidence in this over the last few Marvel events. I have also been enjoying Hickman's run on both Avengers and New Avengers, as New Avengers has been consistently good, and although Avengers has been a little inconsistent overall it has been good, and extremely good as of late (baring last issue which was good but not great).

@madeinbangladesh: I don't know, I just made this as normal. I did however only create it last night, and have heard people have had problems so it may be fixed.

@johnkmccubbin91: Agree completely. Although I haven't read New Avengers and I am not planning on reading it (maybe in trade) I have heard amazing things about it. Hickman is showing us why he was chosen to be the successor to Bendis.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: It has been amazing. I would highly recommend it in trade as although it hasn't had as many exiting moments as Avengers, it's been overall more consistent. I would probably recommend it during Infinity, but due to it's tie-in not being out yet, and the series having a small impact on the first issue it'll probably be okay to miss it, though I'll let you know what I think when I get it. Yes as I initially wasn't happy about him being chosen, as I was never a huge fan on his Fantastic Four run, and the first issue of Avengers was good, but the next was very average. It has however stepped up a lot, and he is doing better work than Bendis had over his last year or so with the team. A Hickman series that I read and liked however was Manhattan Project, as I only dropped that due to budget (mean to get it in trade).

@johnkmccubbin91: I shall take that into consideration. I loved his run on the Fantastic Four one of the few runs that have been good in recent years. Agreed Bendis let it slip hugely in quality after Fear Itself it was almost hard to read. If Hickman keeps up the quality it has now I think he could easily surpass Bendis entire run in the next year or so...Heard great things about that series but never tried it for myself...

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: I liked his run, don't get me wrong, it's just that I felt it was a little overrated, but that was just me. I loved the story where Johnny died, and the one when he came back to the team though. Yes it was, such a shame. It'll take a lot to surpass Bendis entire run in my opinion, as it has some of my favourite Avengers moments, but it does have the potential, and I can see Infinity being the best event since Civil War, with only Siege possibly contending it. If you were talking about MP at the end there I read the first 5 issues, and have been meaning to get the rest in trade as I thought it was very good.

@johnkmccubbin91: I guess I overall loved it. Agreed but Hickman seems to be better at developing his stories compared to Bendis who would just set up for the next event and then deal with the fall out and do some more set up rinse and repeat and although it was never bad up until after Fear Itself it was just a bit redundant. Yes I was talking about MP.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: Yeah that is a fair point, but I feel that this has also hurt Hickman's run so far at times, as although overall I've loved it, there has been times where it's either been slow, or a build-up point hasn't paid off, which is a disappointment. Thought you were : )

@johnkmccubbin91: Agreed issues 4-6 and 10-11 were very slow and a little boring just elongating the story sometimes they felt pointless. But I would rather Hickman take his time to build up the team and slowly crank up the juice instead of throwing us right into the heat of the action like Bendis used to do.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: I didn't mind issues 4, 5, but 6, and 10 were a bit disappointing, as was 9. I did however really like 11 though. That is a fair point, but he needs to spend more time developing the characters if he's doing this, as besides the characters I know I don't feel anything towards the new ones, with them not feeling like Avengers.

@johnkmccubbin91: I liked issue 9. I agree. out of the new characters he has introduced only Hyperion and Captain Universe seem fit to be Avengers. Sunspot, Canonball, Shang-Chi and Smasher all seem just like add ons in my opinion. I go back and forth on Manifold he really is just their version of Cyborg.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: I didn't mind 9, but it was a little anticlimactic considering the build-up that happened in the previous issues. I agree with what you said about the new Avengers, as besides Captain Universe and Hyperion the only character that interests me is Manifold, and it shouldn't be like that.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: That doesn't help, but that should make a writer make more of an effort to make them feel loved, and to be honest that isn't happening with most of the Avengers team.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: I think it's more to do with him being similar style to Thor, giving a person that Thor can compare to, as although Hyperion is closer to Superman I've always seen Thor and Cap as Marvels equivalents of Superman as they're more popular, with Cap being the boys scout similar, and Thor being the power side.

@johnkmccubbin91: Yeah but Thor was never regarded as Marvel's Superman. obviously power wise people know if you need someone to match Superman he's you're guy plus he's the resident powerhouse of the Avengers like Superman is to the JL but I think they are pushing Hyperion now because they want a Superman character. I do agree Cap has the boy scout leadership aspect while Thor has the power house aspect but Hyperion really has both of those in one (although no longer a boy scout) the one for the Squadron Supreme and Supreme Power were a boy scout's not really the rest. King Hyperion (Villain), Squadron Sinister (Villain), Marvel Now! Hyperion (more like a Martian Manhunter personality) and Earth X Hyperion was more in the same vain as Kingdom Come Superman.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: I was meaning if you compare the Avengers with the JL. Plus also Hyperion has always been a B list hero in my opinion, and I'm glad he's getting the push to A class now, as he's a brilliant character. To be fair however the Squadron Supreme from Straczynski's Supreme Power run was basically a copy of the JL.

@johnkmccubbin91: Oh I agree completely. I've always loved him and as you can tell I'm more than happy that he's getting the push. He can be seen more than just a Superman knock off if they continue down this path like they did with Shazam actually develop the character and create differences and what makes that character more than a copy. and although I love these 2 characters I can't say the same about them (Gladiator, Sentry). I agree but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. the entire Squadron Supreme are JL copy's Nightowl = Batman, Zarda = Wonder Woman, Hyperion = Superman, Whizzer = Flash, Dr. Spectrum = Green Lantern etc.

@theincrediblesuperhulk8642: Yeah I feel this version is much more unique, being quieter. I didn't say it wasn't I loved the first series, and although his second series titled Squadron Supreme started poorly it got better near the end, and it was a shame he never finished it (that really annoyed me as he could have done one more issue to tie the story off).
