Powers & Abilities
Powers
Fire-Breathing: The Dragon's main power is a both an astonishing gift and dangerous curse: a powerful, albeit unpredictable force of fire like energy bursting from his mouth. He has a little control of this power. He could suppress it by controlling his breathing but any sudden interruption to his respiration such as stress or asphyxiation will cause the fire to unleash. This condition made him difficult to
communicate, the effect of it to everyday life takes a toll on his personality and mental health. Argea uses a special made respirator that allows him to have better control of his powers. With this gadget he has various uses of his flames such as manipulating it's size and shape, intensity, viewing in infrared spectrum, heat air currents to fly short distances, even solidify his fire into small weapons. The Night Dragon is primarily a “street guardian” fighting petty criminals and protecting “the average Joe” which is why he refrains to use his risky fiery powers in the city environment where he usually operates. He reserves his inner fire for tackling much more powerful, dangerous threats.
Superhuman hearing: The Dragon's hearing is so sharp that he can hear a conversation from 300 feet away. He can hear a person's heartbeat that could be used as investigative tool.
Superhuman sense of smell: The Dragon's sense of smell is so acute that it enables him to sense whether a food product has expired from a distance. He could easily track anyone by remembering their scent like a reptile hunt it's pery.
Superhuman sense of sight: The Dragon's superhuman sense of sight greatly increased his accuracy and analytical abilities.
Reptilian reflexes: The Dragon has the reflexes as fast a lizard to the extent that he could dodge bullets. This made him an elusive and frustrating target for foes.
Wall-Crawling: The Dragon can concentrate his hands and feet so that he could cling any onto any surfaces like a gecko. He could easily climb skyscrapers or stick to ceilings.
Scale-Armor: The Dragon can temporarily transform his skin into an extremely durable, scale-like armor. When he is in this armor he is virtually invulnerable, the armor is so strong that it could only be pierced by titanium. Unfortunately this form could only last for a few minutes before reverting back to normal.
Skills
Natural Toughness: When he was an amateur boxer, his trainer noted that he had the "chin" that was comparable to that of hall of famer champion Jake Lamotta. Even before he got his powers, his incredible tolerance to pain was almost super-human. He can take the hits from the hardest punchers without blinking.
Intellect: Argea is considered intellectually gifted since he was a child. He is a graduate of journalism, and was a top student. He's also an extremely talented detective and has great knowledge of history, law, social studies, and criminology.
Expert Combatant: Prior to becoming a journalist, Argea was an accomplished amateur boxer. He was a pugilistic prodigy who modeled his boxing style after his idol: Roberto Duran. Argea won many tournaments in different weight divisions His amazing skills, deadly body punching and indestructible chin granted him 200 wins with only a few loses. In the ring he was named: The Poker-faced Warrior, due to his calmness, seemingly relaxed, emotionless attitude while outclassing and destroying his opponents. A handful of his opposition went on to become world champions. Notably, he beat a young Floyd Mayweather in the amateurs. Argea has decent knowledge of other combat styles but still prefers the sweet science. He became a much more brilliant fighter after he received his powers. His superhuman acute senses allow him to connect with greater accuracy, pinpoint weaknesses and predict his opponent's next move to dodge and counter at will. Combined with his reptilian reflexes and sublime boxing prowess, The Night Dragon is more than capable to go toe-to-toe with the world's bests.
Allies
El Perro
At first, Argea thought that 51 year old Jorge Rubio was just a strange old man who liked to hung out in his gym. Much to his surprise, Rubio is actually Cesar Guerrero, the Mexican boxing legend who mysteriously went missing at the height of his carreer. Other than that, he was also the masked vigilante, notoriously known as "El Perro del Guerrier" (The Dog of War) or simply: El Perro. Guerrero was a Mexican street kid who was a given a second chance when he moved to America and discovered his talent for boxing. He soon turned professional and became a champion by his early 20's. Guerrero first wore the costume to get even with the boxing promoters and the mob who cheated him a large sum of his earnings, but later he decided to keep this alter ego. Inspired by Robin Hood, he vowed to protect and help those who lived poor like he did. El Perro would steal money from the mafia and corrupt politicians and give to those who needed it. But when his enemies discovered his identity, his entire family was murdered. Guerrero became a broken man. Retiring his costume and created a new name, becoming a recluse.
Guerrero saw much of himself in Argea, and after deducing each other's identity, became Argea's mentor/trainer. El Perro has since guided The Dragon to be a better fighter and warrior.
El Perro's possesses no superhuman powers, except for his indomitable will, monstrous strength and an incredible physique for a man his age. El Perro was also the one who came up with Argea's nickname; El Naga. Jokingly referring him as a his sidekick, much to Argea's annoyance.
