Before the first Cap movie, I unleashed an unfair, complete and utter bashing of Chris Evans as a human being. It is now 10 years later, and I have logged back in to say what a douche I was. The original forum was actually a hate filled petition to remove him as Cap, if you want to see how much of a mean, dick I really was, it's in this forum, waaay back. Here is me saying I'm sorry Cap fans. I know jack.
Ok, so I saw Civil War, and the Cap trilogy is complete. The guy was the perfect cap. He is obviously an incredibly hard working guy, which comes through in his incredible physical portrayal of the character. My main original criticism was that this guy couldn't hold his own, acting-wise, against Downey(and at the time Ed Norton was supposed to be Hulk). I'm pretty sure no one can hold their own against Downey fully, just to be clear because he's insanely talented, and ultimately I think the MCU recognizes this. The wisdom I didn't see was that the MCU's use of Chris Evans' Cap would work so well as a contrasting character to Downey's Tony Stark (who is still probably the best central character/figure Marvel could have ever hoped for!) Chris Evans, you are a beast, and the man, and you deserve every bit of credit you get for taking a really old school character and making him relevant again. I will look forward to every single frame with you in it. Also, Russo bros, great cast again with Sebastian Stan, who kicks ass as believably on screen as anyone I've ever seen. You guys all killed it. Way to go.
Thank you so Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Can't wait to see Strange in November!
