@Deadcool: That's a fair point. Though I don't think I agree completely. If people keep discussing something, the more likely it is that Marvel will pick up on it and learn from it. So I do think these discussions have some merit. But I do see your point.
And to be honest, it did (eventually) lead to good things, namely Big Time.
To me OMD/BND was about twenty jumps backwards for Spider-Man. MJ was a big part of it sure (it's his wife dangit), but it was more than just MJ. Over the years Spidey had gotten a lot of growth, going from a teenager to a married man. Some of my favourite stories are from when he was working as a teacher. The real stickler, I think, is more that Quesada unmade all that character growth to get back to a status quo I'm not sure that many people clamored for.
I for one really liked the idea of Spider-Man gone rogue eventually ending up a hunted man, like hinted in the birthday story from Best of Spider-Man vol. 3 (I'm not sure exactly which issue(s) that story were from, but I'm pretty sure it's from the "The Other" era, since the other stories in that book are)
A little early to theorize what will happen after an event when the event itself has barely started =P.
But I'd guess there'd be at least one person that get to keep the powers in some way. I'm torn on the issue of the spider-sense. It's just one of those iconic things about Spider-Man so I'm guessing it won't be gone forever. I eventually want to see it back, but having Spidey learn "proper" martial arts is an interesting angle that'll hopefully mesh well with the return of the spider-sense.

@pulseangel666: I've been wondering, what happens if Spider-man gets bitten by one of these whatever they are that are biting people and giving them spider-powers...
I have two theories on that. The first one is, well: That.
The other (more likely theory) would be that that could be the way he gets his spider-sense back.
Jackal seems to remember that Peter is Spider-Man. He states that he's spent "years obsessing over parkers DNA", which hints that his memory of Spider-Mans identity was never wiped. Though if it was wiped I'm sure he could've figured it out anyway, but his dialogue makes it sound like he has known for a long time. From what we've seen of the story so far I don't think it's a quesiton that needs to be answered, but for continuitys sake I'd like to know (maybe it's been adressed already, I'm not sure)
On a side-note: I really dig Casellis art in this one.
Y'know I didn't really notice before, but the guy with the briefcase. The briefcase is opened wrong!
But yea, I've always figured that the spider-sense helped out a lot. When Spidey first lost his spider-sense in the current arc he didn't fare too well in the beginning either.
If by 'reboot' you mean completely re-establish the character, then yes, I think it's a really bad idea. Because they're wasting screen time telling the origin when everybody knows it (I'll never stop harping on this, I can't help it). If they'd just made another movie, that'd be another thing.
