Disappointments

Y’know that killer comic you thought would be totally kick-ass-awesome? You get home and excitedly read through it only to find out with such sadness that it was crap? Well, that's what this list is for.

List items

  • The first story of the preview was good, but then they had to go and bungle things up by changing the art and making it more serious. It should’ve stayed comical and cartoony. Also, you go from a fun and adventurous Sinbad, which fits the character, to a dull and serious Sinbad. BLECH!

  • Infestation had a great start. I expected it to stay that way. Prime seemed a bit out-of-character and it was more than retarded how the Transformers saved the day. The pacing was off and it just wasn't believable. I'm shocked that it's that bad.

  • While an interesting premise for a series, I just can't buy it. There are other supers organisations. Bruce doesn't need to make a new one. Also, the tone is too much all-over-the-place and the attempts at humour never get a solid punchline (catwoman reading the tentacle manga then dealing with the octopus). No more. No, thank you.

  • While this tale of revenge with voodoo and supernatural elements was interesting at first, it went downhill quickly. I couldn't stand all the inner dialogue and the layout was awful. Everything looked all squished together.

  • I almost have a hard time justifying this entry, as I never expected it to be any good, so it's hardly a disappointment. However, I never expected it to be THAT bad. There's no action and reads like an old ABC family values special.

  • The first issue was a good start, but Star Trek Infestation was the only part that actually was handled well and had some type of ending. Transformers were way out of character, GI Joe was like the middle of a bigger thing that never got resolved, and Ghostbusters seriously crapped out at the end. I had hoped the final issue of this would redeem itself, but it didn't. It just further cemented how craptacular the whole affair was.

  • I just... can't deal with the art. It completely ruins whatever good the book might have. It's that distracting to me.

  • The art is too inconsistent to me, and it's hard for me to believe there is a giant buck running around in the woods, when it's taller than the tree line.

  • The first issue was waaaay too preachy for me and our self-righteous main character is not likeable at all.
