I dont really mind the new costume, though if she lost the jacket it would be better, did JMS really change her personality that dramatically? I havent really read much about this new wonder woman.
My friends know that I read comics, my family does too. The only person that really gives me a hard time about it is my brother, he looks at me funny sometimes and tells me that I need to "grow up" I just look at him and say, "Its a hobby, it makes me happy, its not hurting anyone and I spend my own money on them." He recently turned 18 but he's always acted like a stubborn old man. Even though I'm older than him.
Well, since I switched over to collecting in trade only instead of buying single issues, I found that if there is a storyline i like I can buy that, and skip over stories I dont. Its enhanced my reading experience. I try to find the good in a story, but if its poorly written or poorly drawn then I lose interest.
" @Gambit1024: Apart from some Batman, I haven't been reading current DC at all. I was very lost the first time I tried to read Final Crisis. I just re-read it recently, and though I can make better sense of it, I don't think I liked it much. I think I would like it better if I read more DC, I guess. "
Dont feel bad, one has to know at least 20 years worth of DC continuity in order to understand Final Crisis, I do, and I still had to read final crisis three times in order to really get it. I got lost with the whole superman vampire thing. I love Grant Morrison's work, but sometimes its a real head scratcher.
To me, his definitive girlfriend will always be Mary Jane, since she was the only love interest of his (besides the Black Cat) that I knew of until I found out about Gwen. I kind of figured that Carlie would be his new girlfriend, I thought it would be an interesting twist if they took a risk with Ms. Marvel. (Im sure there's a fan fiction of it somewhere) Carlie is a little dull, but fairly likable, hopefully they wont kill her off.
For starters, Id give money to charities, like the red cross, the ASPCA, amnesty international, that sort of thing. Then I would buy a lot of trades, a ginger ale factory, and a 2 bedroom house, no need to go crazy.
Are any of the people that made Bucky into the winter soldier still around? Perhaps Steve and his Secret Avengers could find one of them and make him/her testify.
