I definitely want to see it in the new franchise, too, but I can understand why they wouldn't want to do that right away. I'm sure they plan to have more than one Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movie, so I'd bet on her dying in a sequel.

Wow, he never punched anybody? I never noticed that as a kid and now that you've pointed it out it's sort of mind-explosion.

I got introduced into comics in a much easier way though, because my dad had been a collector since 1979-abouts. So I had I had closetsful of Bronze-modern age (and reprints of silver age) comics at my disposal early on. But I definitely watched all of the 90s animated series as well. And my first big cartoon-love as a toddler was Superfriends.

The Batman and X-men ones were definitely the best, but I loved the Spider-Man ones a lot too. I didn't really mind the lovey-dovey stuff very much when I was younger, there was still enough things that were cool about it to entertain me. And soap-y relationships are a pretty significant part of Spider-Man in general, I think. And I still can't believe I never noticed him not punching people. But I do remember being confused about the laser guns.  It was definitely one of the better cartoons of the time though, loads better than the stuff they were trying to do with Hulk and Iron Man. (of which my memories are only really vague

Just think in terms of Marvel being an alternate universe to this one. An alternate universe with sometimes alternate definitions.

If Rose comes back again, I will throw something... Most likely a fit. The season 4 return and EoT cameos are enough...   The only way I'd really be content with Rose returning is if it was in a multi-Doctor story.
I'm all for Susan returning though, that would be amazing.

But I'm assuming the marriage clue has something to do with River Song, as that's already kinda been alluded to.
Perhaps one of the trials will connect with the alliance we saw in Pandorica? That could be fun.
The "what awaits the TARDIS at the Zero Point?" seems interesting. Could that mean, zero as in before Event One? The mysterious moment before the Big Bang?

Considering that the first half of the season is going to end with a "game-changing cliffhanger,"  I'm betting the second half of the season might end up being something of a six part story, too...  Which could be totally amazing.

Well then, I don't know what to say. There's no way I'd be able to get to New York anyway for that, but if it ever comes out on some kind of video release I'd check it out, since I love Spidey.
I could sit back and accept the supernatural-demon-looking Gobby. But... Swiss Miss? "Because she's made all out of Swiss army knives and cuts things" ?? Reeealllly? I'd rather just see Stilt-Man...

Bah! This issue was perfect. I'm so pumped for the next issue and my Thorgasm still hasn't entirely worn off yet. The only thing bad about this issue is that that it makes me feel a little depressed that the next issue is Gillen's last...
I wasn't paying attention to the outfits enough to complain, and even if I was, it seems like a pretty minor gripe, that's just what their outfits look like... They looked the same in the last  few issues too, gee...
Also, I concur with James Lasagnaboy.

The Marvels Project was one that I really wanted to pick up but didn't just for lack-of-money reasons.  I think when you really get absorbed into the comic book universes, you usually get a big interest in its history and everything about it. Or at least I do, because I obsess over things, but I think that might be a general comic-geek quality. For me I'm more into the Marvel universe, though I've started to get more into DC recently.

Anyway, as far as bringing back the Golden and Silver ages, the history of the comics is the history of that universe. And when they revamp it it's a way of both making it cohesive with today and glorifying it a little more. I think the best example of a story like that is actually Marvels by Kurt Buseick and Alex Ross. It does a very good job of looking at iconic characters/stories/times in  the Marvel universe and making it look like how someone would actually talk about their own observing of history if they lived through WWII and the 60s with all these superheroes and mutants popping up.

It's definitely for people who are either familiar to the older stories/history, or at least want to be introduced to them without going having to read old-comic-book dialog, though. (Though Legion is probably more about just giving them new adventures and is aimed towards people who are Legion fans? I dunno)

I'm a younger reader, but I've always had pretty easy access to older comics since my dad is an older reader.
