The Green Lantern Corps is an intergalactic peace-keeping police force that uses green power rings as weapons. These power rings channel the green light of will.

A power-hungry Green Lantern known as Sinestro betrayed the Corps and created a new team. He called it the Sinestro Corps (also known as the Yellow Lantern Corps). Rather than green power rings, they wore yellow power rings. Rather than channeling the power of will, they channeled the power of fear. They waged war on the Green Lanterns, but were defeated.

The Star Sapphire Corps, also known as the Violet Lantern Corps, is composed of females from across the Universe that channel the power of love through their rings. They were once enemies of the Green Lantern Corps, but they are now close allies.

Born from the blood of the all-mighty Atrocitus, the Red Lantern Corps channels the emotion of rage through their rings. They draw their power from a blood river on the planet Ysmault.

There once was a race of conquerors known as the Orange Lantern Corps that served the emotion avarice. But one Orange Lantern known as Larfleeze killed every other Corps member and took the power for himself. His ring now channels the might of an entire Corps.

The Indigo Tribe, also known as the Indigo Lantern Corps, uses the indigo light of compassion. Their power rings grant them incredible abilities no other Corps can even imagine. They are the most mysterious of the Lantern Corps.

Nekron, ruler of the dead, created a Black Lantern Corps composed of zombies that wielded black power rings of death. They could raise the dead, and turn other people into Black Lanterns.

During the war with the Black Lanterns, a being known as The Entity gave a team of heroes and villains from Earth white power rings of life to help combat the Black Lanterns. These people later returned their rings and resumed their normal lives.

The Alpha Lantern Corps is a sub-division of the Green Lantern Corps. They were supposed to be the best of the best, but they went rogue and tried to destroy the Green Lanterns. They were defeated, but have returned multiple times since then.

The Anti-Green Lantern Corps is made up of aliens known as Qwardians who channel the black light through their power rings. Their sole purpose is to destroy the Green Lanterns.
