While being more of a continuation of Marvel's The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier still has enough elements from its predecessor, The First Avenger, to feel like the sequel that it is. Of all the Phase-two Marvel films, so far, this feels the closest to coexisting in the Avengers universe.
