I actually really like this story, and I love the idea of a villain taking up the mantle of Spider-Man, it's new, different and interesting. I just think it's a pity that it's through body switching, but only because it makes explaining it to people who don't read comics difficult...

What about Venom and Kaine? They were around and were "villainous spider-men" now they relatively good guys.

Didn't Stan always say that he wanted Spidey to be a character kids could relate too? A teenager having to deal with being hassled by old people for trying to something crazy (webslinging in this case or in everyday life of skateboarding or playing music too loud) seems like something that could be used here. Or Stan was off his meds at the time, who knows.

Originally superman was the only survivor of krypton. In the silver age it was revevaled that not only he survived but the phantom zone, supergirl, and the citizens of Kandor. During this time period he was active as superboy in smallvile and a member of the legion of superheroes. The crisis happened and established that he was the one and only kryptonian and that superboy never existed after that. In the modern age much of the silver age is back in place so we went through a continuity circle pretty much

editors feel that some characters have to remain a certain age: superhero's generally are people in their physical prime, which is why they are portrayed to look that way. Old characters such as flash I, GL I, or steve rogers have ways to explain how they're so old and how the fought in the second world war. Superman and characters such as that have aged. Many fan's consider who is robin to be the time scale of the DC Universe. Likewise it could be viewed that spider-man's place in life reflects the universe (though this of course i affected by one more day).

Well Hal was exposed to the effects of a Yellow ring during the corps war, and it was him becoming parallax again, and watching his father die. So it would more than likely be something to that effect.

I know Hal Jordan is most famous for being a pilot. But in Young Justice, there is an insurance agent Hal Jordan who delivered a check to Arrowette's mom. Just asking when this happened. Thanks.
