@the_stegman: They're no different than the Avengers, Batman, Spiderman or Justice League: ALL of them have six million sub titles. And in most cases, only one of the books out of the pile is really good; like this one.
if it's gonna mean anything, if has to be T Jean; she has no idea that Wolverine and Kitty and Beast are keeping much of what she needs to know secret; they've only given her the "you're gonna end up abused and dead and Scott's a baddie" information but haven't shown her what led to her death and many sacrifices nor have they enlightened her of what turned Scott into what he is now. #7 already showed (by young Scott giving her the wedding invitation) that much is being kept from her to benefit one side of the war.
Cyclops and the others don't know happened to Warren, so it makes no sense for young Angel to jump ship. Bobby's too immature and Beast isn't nearly as impacting. Young Scott doesn't want the responsibility and is confused about everything; if anything, he'd want to change his ways by staying with Wolvie. Jean is the only one who will understand Cyclops' motives and is the most logical choice.
Later, Scott turned it into a keepsake treasury. He kept the old glasses from his youth, put in some pics of him an Jean/Maddie, the wedding invites, and a lock of Jean's hair (the same one Logan once kept?).
That would explain the lock pf Jean's hair... Makes it less creepy at least.
Creepy? He was married to her. What is creepy was the lock Wolverine had (he lusted her even after her "death").
if I'm not mistaken, she was a main villain for Wolverine in the 90s to (she dated Silver Samurai) and nearly killed Storm (Storm returned the favor in Claremont's X-Treme X-Men); So I don't see a problem with her inclusion. I'm more concerned about the dialogue in the movie (the last Wolverine film sucked BIG time) and the continuity of the film (since the last one was everywhere and doesn't mesh with the last X-Movie at all *Emma Frost*).
The only interesting title would've been Uncanny X-Force; the reboot looks... less than stellar with it's cast. I will purchase as I'd like to see how Spiral and Psylocke could possibly work together after all Spiral put her through (I'm a Spiral fan so they better give excellent reasons).
With Legacy ending, I hope Uncanny Avengers respects Rogue's development. Legion taking over the title is... I dunno; I'll purchase the 1st issue and go from there.
All-New X-Men is the most interesting as I read the pages posted from the comic. Beast's comment about present day Cyclops to past Cyke is either a complete exaggeration, a lie, or a glimpse at things to come. I wonder if we'll ever find out if the Void took over Cyclops (I don't think the writers remember that he has the void locked within him).
@evilvegeta74: Much like the paramount/Disney movies helped boost the popularity of Ironman and the other Avengers. In what ways would I be blindsided? Because she was a misguided villain at one point?
@blastaar: Hope's only purpose was to create new mutants; that's it. There was no need for her to be next Rachel or Jean (considering Hope is essentially a rip-off hybrid of Rogue and Jean to begin with).
The character served her purpose. I would hope that we're through having to deal with her annoyances; she's close to Sentry-level dislike.
