Let the jimmies rustle LOL, but if WB Montreal is involved I expect great boss battles and a fantastic story, bring it on.

This just does not sound very good at all.

It sounds terrific.

The movie was confused, it clearly wanted an abusive relationship and may have been shot with that intent but the editing and the reshoots changed that altogether. That's why there are some contradictions but WB altered the movie so their vision won out and it's the official version, Johns has thrown his weight behind that angle. So Yes SS Joker loves Harley which means this character isn't accurate at all, not that the bling jewellery and night club owning thug was accurate to begin with. This is what happens when you use a character without having any real clue how to use him but at the same time wanting him to be different.

I can handle a different take on the character but here Ayer and co tossed the clown/jester/chaos maker angle in to the trash can in favor of night club owning thug. That's NOT Joker, that's Penguin. It certainly could have been added as a supplementary angle but as the core? GTFO WB/Ayer.

Sara Lance has only beaten Vandal Savage in her ENTIRE run, she's girl Diggle.

So I just finished read Robin: Son of Batman. I see Talia is back from the dead and apparently all concerned and loving with her son.

Last time I checked Talia for all intents and purposes had her son murdered and was being a completely homicidal nut case in Batman Incorporated......right before getting shot in the face by Kathy Kane.

No Caption Provided

Can anyone Tell me when Talia got revived? Issue number? Why isn't she as psychotic anymore?

Bonus Question: I can not for the life of me find Goliath's first appearance or backstory.

Thanks!

It was an issue of Batman and Robin, I think it was called Batman and Ra's al Ghul(Damain was dead so it became Batman and guest star). Ra's used a special pit that wipes the mind clean. She appeared a few issues later without any memories.

In Robin Son of Batman she was captured by an old rival of the al Ghuls, he used magic to restore her memories and trapped her "darkness" inside some orb, she still keeps that orb so if a writer wants her evil again they have a way.

Goliath first appeared in a free short story for the Son of Batman series, his origin was in the 6th issue of that series.

Geoff Johns has gone on record and said that the Bonnie and Clyde angle is better than the comics take on Joker and Harley relationship. The movie also cut the scene where Joker slapped Harley, the helicopter scene is rumored to be edited, the jail break is strongly rumored to be part of the reshoot footage because in the original Joker dumps Harley against the Enchantress and escapes ( the one with his face partially burned). This movie may have been shot with the intention to show an unhealthy relationship or something ambigious but there is no doubt it was perverted in to something else entirely. Yes Joker loves Harley.

Leto's performance was cringeworthy sure but the material he was given was bad. The look, the direction, the arc that's on Ayer and WB and they all sucked. I would be happy if this rumor turns out to be true because at this stage it would mean that Joker would have no role whatsoever in the upcoming Batman movie, that's why I want it to be true.

Bring on Deathstroke.

What is better between this and Titans Rebirth?

Teen Titans kicks the crud out of Titans, dont listen to biased fanboys, they'll swallow the horribly outdated and mediocre trite that is called Titans because it features some of their favorite characters who have no place elsewhere. TT is better in every conceivable manner, the art is better, the story is better, the characters have actual personalities, it's a dynamic book. Not perfect but the 2 issues were good. Titans on the other hand has horridly dated art matched only by equally dated writing and characters who might as well be blocks of wood. It's a book that thrives purely on nostalgia and nothing else. If Donna, Wally and Roy had their own books or were more important to their parent franchises this book would crash and burn as it is the nostalgia and instant gratification of seeing long neglected characters get some piece of the pie keeps this thing alive.

Abnett cant even get Dick Grayson right and he's one of the easiest characters to write, Percy nails Damian who is far more difficult to depict correctly, that alone shows the difference in characterization and writing.

alright yes, staying true to characters=dated. Beast boy having a "love addiction", being devoid of humor, and constantly partying=personality raven not giving a crap about defenseless guards, "emptness soothes me" and red hair=personality. (wannabe)Wally talking about racial profiling/shoehorning lectures from iris=personality

and damien in tt totally screws up him finally becoming likable as he isin nightwing rebirth, now he's back to being annoying loner, bratty, kidnapping punk

You mean personality less characters right? I see no difference between this version of Donna, Dick and Garth, not only do they not serve any purpose in the story whatsoever but they're not even distinct. Roy is an idiot, that's all he is in this book.

BB was perfectly in character and what exactly was Raven supposed to give a crap about? wannabe Wally is a better character here than he was in any other book.

Damian is perfectly in character, spot on for that matter, maybe you're the one who needs to conduct some research on these characters. It's pretty clear that all you want are dull and monotone characters constantly agreeing with each other and being depicted in an inoffensive manner. But me, I'd rather not waste my time on a dismal book desperate to recapture the 80's and 90's. I even hate that Deathstroke will be dragged in to a crossover with this muck.

Btw I wasn't expecting TT to be good, on the contrary I thought it was going to be terrible. I hate tedious narration boxes and overwritten dialogue which Percy is extremely fond of but credit where credit is due. Like I said he can correctly depict a difficult character like Damian while Abnett is completely clueless over what to do with characters that can be easily written like Dick, Donna etc.
