Spider man's One Moment in Time first look

 http://comics.ign.com/articles/110/1100622p1.html

So after Grim Hunt (which is starting off to a great start) we're finally getting answers to what happened with MJ and Peter in One Moment in Time starting with #638. In this preview, the first few pages look....troublesome. It appears to be some kind of celebration, and Peter is not feeling up for it. I mean, MJ looks like she wants some loving! Who in their righteous mind turns down that?!

Would you say no to that? The booze I mean.

Is this the reboot of Mortal Kombat?

Now, the Mortal Kombat series have been hitting a slump lately. Armageddon was the last game to come out of the main series and it was met with mixed results. Mortal Kombat vs DC was the last game to come out of the franchise and it took an interesting take of the series. Critics gave it pretty good reviews, but a lot of fans were disappointed in it, mainly because of the T rating and the lack of real fatalities. Plus, sales were pretty average. Personally, I liked the game mostly because of the fighting mechanic (and I wanted to kick Superman's ass).

In film news, Mortal Kombat movie series has been through hell. After the disaster of Annihilation (which is probably the worst fighting video game movie adaptation of all time), no one knew if a third movie would see the sight of day. Recently Warner Bros. announced that the next movie would be a reboot of the series.

This trailer shows a very different take of the series, possibly going back to their roots a little. It looks more mature, more violent, more modernized. more....realistic approach. It even got Hollywood stars in it such as Michael Jai White and Jeri Ryan in it. That's got to be a sign for something, or it could be a very expensive fan made project.

E3 is around the corner so it could be a teaser of the video game. It could be a teaser for the movie in a way. It could be both, or an expensive fan made project. Thoughts?

Edit: I found some new info about this from twitchfilm.com and latinoreview.com saying that THIS has nothing to do with the new video game thats coming out.

Edit: Some of the cast in the teaser:

  • Jacks : Michael Jai White
  • Sonya Blade: Jeri Ryan
  • Baraka: Lateef Crowder
  • Scorpion: Ian Anthony Dale
  • Johnny Cage: Matt Mullins

Wow, my shop/bookstores are really late

I'm a patient guy in for certain things. When it comes to comics, depending on if there's an event or if the last issue was so incredible, I go all over the place. Because I'm in summer school right now (and actually in a class right now), comics are one of the things I can use to relax when I'm not bombarded by classes. I know sometimes comics don't get shipped on time, but for me, this is the second week in a row that my comic and book stores did not have the latest issues on time.  Because of this and I have school, most of my reviews might come out on the weekends this week and maybe throughout the summer. In the mean time, I've been thinking about editing some pages that need some more editing. Tomorrow, I'm going to head to my local comic and bookstores to see if they are out.

I wonder if anyone else is having this problem at their local shop or shops.

Smallville season 10 will be the last season

According to IGN, CW, and other sources, Smallville season 10 will be the last season after nearly 10 years being on air. Smallville sure had its ups and downs. It was thought that moving Smallville on Fridays for season 9 would be the death of the series, but surprisingly, season 9 has been the strongest season of Smallville since the first few seasons. And while Smallville isn't the traditional sense of the mainstream universe, its still has been entertaining.

When you think about it, it was coming. What more could be added in Smallville without going too far, besides the obvious Clark still needs to fly? This is also amazing as well: A superhero tv series going on for 10 seasons. After the writer strike in Season 7, I wasn't sure if Smallville would survive for a season 8. Heroes eat your heart out.

Even with that tease of the season finale "Salvation", with Season 10, will we finally see Clark in the traditional suit? Will he finally become The Man of Steel? Will he finally fly? Another huge question is, Will Darkseid make an appearance? I think the greatest way to end the series is to see Clark in the traditional suit standing on the Daily Planet looking at the sun, or flying towards it. Something that makes you feel good inside.
