Could not agree more with Tony and Norm. Most of my friends ane people I know did not like the movie at all and negativity towards it is all I've heard for the past week or so. Glad that many here agree because I've had almost no one to talk to about it since most people hated it and wrote it off the moment they left the theater. I'm glad to hear some similar opinions of the film for a change! Listening to this again is making me excited to see it a third time. While it isn't a perfect movie and has a few plot inconsistencies, I still thought it was fantastic. Despite TDK's universal acclaim, it still had a few things off and wasn't 100% a perfect film. I love both the other two films, but TDKR just seemed to flow much better as a movie for some reason. Batman Begins was mostly focused on the origin of Batman and seemed to rush the Scarecrow/League of Shadow's plot at the end. TDK was amazing, but almost seemed to be a plot that relied only on Joker incident after Joker incident with not much between each event. I still love the hell out of those movies, but I thought TDKR seemed to be paced perfectly and didn't rush too much to the next big event.
I too loved the relationship that was forged between Batman/Catwoman and Bruce/Selina throughout the movie. I especially liked how they each hinted around knowing Bruce was Batman, but never flat out said it. I wish there was a little more of it, but the amount of it worked out well in the plot.
Bane and his voice seem to be one of the biggest things about the film people I know do not like at all. I do admit it was fairly obvious it had been re-mastered. Like Norm said it almost seemed to be louder than anyone else and sounded as if it was on surround sound in the actual movie world. It would be cool for the Blu-ray to have an option to play the film with the unedited voice, it didn't bother me despite it obviously having been fixed. I still thought Bane was a great villain, and it was awesome to see someone who was able to break Batman. Hardy was brilliant and I forgot that it was him the whole time. Much like Ledger he pretty much became the character and was not recognizable as the actor he was.
I could go on longer, but this is the second time I've typed this much as Parchment deletes text in the comment box when you switch pages in the rest of the comments! I loved the film quite a lot and thought it was phenominal ending to Nolan's series. I know not everyone likes the film, but it's kind of hard for me to see why people are hating on this film so much. I'd go so far as to say I may like this better than TDK. It's definately equally as good, if not a bit better thanks to a phenominal ending. I am super glad I only watched the teaser once and didn't watch a single trailer for the film. I stayed away from anything TDKR related on the internet and was almost 100% suprised by the twist at the end. As cool as the final moments are, I hope that they do not continue this universe without Nolan. They can re-boot it all they want, but I think no one should touch this world of Batman that Nolan and Bale have made.
