Esta es Tierra Mia
Tierra por la cual derrámo mi sangre
Es tierra santa
Es tierra bella
¿Y yo? Su Rey
- Early History -
Tierra Mia (translation: My Land) is a crime syndicate that arose soon after the establishment of Los Angeles as a city in 1781. For years, Tierra Mia grew in power, operating in the background as a broker for most criminal enterprises on the West Coast.
In the late 1880s, Tierra Mia came under the control of the Cortez family whose brash policies and thirst for power brought it out of the shadows, thrusting it into the spotlight of the public eye. Among their many changes, the Cortez clan established the title of “El Rey” to denote the current head of the syndicate.
Overnight, the gang’s crowned skull emblem became an ubiquitous sight all across the Golden State as Tierra Mia proceeded take down and/or absorb its many rivals with relentless efficiency. By the advent of the 20th century, Tierra Mia's influence was unmatched in their two greatest seats of power; Los Angeles in the south and San Betral in the north.
- Losing the North, Gaining an Ally -
In 2006, after Warsman's devastating attack on San Betral caused the death of hundreds of Tierra Mia members and the destruction of their second largest base of operations, the gang began losing its foothold in Northern California to their fiercest rivals, the Black Masks.
After a short, yet bloody, all-out war, El Rey of Tierra Mia and The Don of the Black Masks came together to establish a pact, forming a delicate alliance between the two crime syndicates. The Black Masks would take control of San Betral and the north of California, while Tierra Mia would consolidate its focus on Los Angeles and the south. The so-called "Treaty of Two Kings" is revered by the leaders of both gangs to this day, having proven a fruitful agreement for all parties involved.
- Dos Caras -
The current “El Rey” of Tierra Mia is Efrain Cortez aka Dos Caras. A scarred mutant who boasts the power of probability manipulation, Dos Caras is cold, calculating, and just a little bit insane. Prone to unpredictability and extreme acts of violence, Dos Caras seeks to strengthen his stranglehold on Southern California with the help of a whole new group of partners.
