700 issues of driving you Bats! 0

Finally we reached 700 issues after eons of reading the exploits of the Batman. First off lets start with the covers, the regular is drawn by David Finch, and the variant by fan favorite Mike Mignola. Both of them did such a lovely job, but personally I'd go with Mike Mignola depending if you had the money to spend (also depending on your comic book shop.).      First off this is a Milestone issue and it reads just like one, but a nice one at that. If you never read a Grant Morrison story, or...

This issue.....it's full of stars.. 0

This has to be one of my favorite comics to come out this week, "The Thanos Imperative" is really shaping up to be the next great event, since Annihilation. In fact I'm already enjoying it more then recent events that I must add were quite lackluster, and whats to come from this will just blow them off the universe. This issue takes place right after "The Thanos Imperative: Ignition" in case for those wondering, which was also fantastic.     The writing in this comic is simply brilliant, Lanni...

If cute could kill 2

Before I start all i have to say is, baby Thor and Betta Ray Bill are possibly the most adorable things I've ever seen in a long while.     On with the review: Thor and the Warriors Four issue #3 was a delightful read, though it pales to the previous issues. The pacing in this issue is quite slow compared to it's predecessors, but I believe that's because the story is concluding. So I'm expecting one hell of a final ending. So far the story has been fantastic for those who haven't read the prev...

BEYOND my exceptions 2

The Batman of tomorrow finally makes its way into mainstream comics (aside from the Batman Beyond comic, and some neat cameos in Superman/Batman.). I won't take the time to explain the setting, if you've seen Batman Beyond then an explanation would be redundant, unless you haven't but lets pretend you did. Paul Levitz does an excellent job of taking up from the original series, referencing the starro episode, and even takes time to explain what happened in a brief summary. This issue actually de...

Not so shocking, but sparks do fly (one way or another.) 0

First off i loved the cover, so kudos to the Dave Stewart, and it sums up the story pretty well. The art inside is pretty nice, from the simple clean character designs with harsh shadows, to the beautiful backdrops. My only beef is the awkward facial expressions that pop up, but nothing that would annoy you too much (i hope).   Alot of this is Electro, so if you like Electro you'll enjoy this. What Waid tries to get you to do here is feel Sorry for the classic Villain, some might, some won't. I ...

Manly tears of gold and blue 0

I gotta admit, this cover is pretty honest in the sense that it delvers what it's advertising. I enjoyed the issue, the pacing was a bit odd, but in a good way. It starts off like any other blackest night tie in with a character coming back. Truth be told i haven't really cared for most of the characters that came back, but Blue Beetle was something that i was looking forward to. It all starts with recaps of A Black Lantern's history, Hunter, then a look into Booster gold's point of view, then g...
