Champions of The Force

I have always found Star Wars to Be a very large source of inspiration, because of it's vast quantity of well developed characters as well as it's deeply immersive universe that just seems to make the story of Star Wars come to life. In this list we will see force users from Star Wars who have inspired me in some way, whether it's in the form of a story or a pleasant daydream.

Unfortunately, since Comic Vine is a comic website there are several characters who cannot appear on this list because of the fact that they have never appeared in comic format. So her are some honorable mentions:

  • Ven Zallow (Star Wars The Old Republic Deceived Cinematic Trailer)
  • Meetra Surik (Star Wars Kinghts of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. (The Jedi Exile))
  • Darth Sion (SW: KOTOR II TSL)

List items

  • There is really so much I can say about this character, but anything I can say would not do him justice. I remember the first time I ever heard of star wars, where my uncle caught my youthful attention with tales about people fighting with light swords, and I was so fascinated that I had to find out what my uncle was talking about. When I first saw Obi-Wan Kenobi, I wasn't as interested, but as time went on my appreciation of him grew. Currently, To me Obi-Wan is the most inspirational Jedi to have ever been created, because despite everything he went through he never turned to the Dark Side of the force. He had every reason to feel anger and pain, but he never let it consume him which is one of the many things that makes Obi-Wan Kenobi my number one favorite force user.

  • ...It's Liam Neeson...

Okay I'm kidding, Qui-Gon Jinn is probably one of the few things I liked about the prequels. Though, now days when I look back on just what Qui-Gon did in the movie, he really is probably one of the worst Jedi (Not sensing the Trade Federation Betrayl, getting winded in every fight, humiliating himself in trying to mind trick Watto, oh and finally getting killed in his first and only on-screen appearance). Despite all of this though Qui-Gon still remains one of my favorite Jedi because of his very presence in the story, as the wise old Jedi master (Not to mention he wields my favorite color lightsaber).

  • Okay, now post-prequel Vader is who I like. What we have here is a very powerful force user that has been completely consumed by the Dark Side of the force. Vader was scary, and a true force to be reckoned with. Though in the end, when the man wins over the machine, you feel a sense of pity for the Dark Lord of the Sith. He was truly a tragic character, and this is what we loved about him. Until the prequels happened and Vader turned into a whiner. Perhaps getting his legs chopped off, burnt alive, and killing his own wife was a good thing (Just kidding)

  • Though, it took me awhile to recall the event, this was actually the death of Githany was the very first death I ever saw happen in a comic. I remember picking up the issue in a local grocery store, and the vivid image of Githany disintegrating just stuck in my mind. Whenever I think of Star Wars comics I always think of the Dark Jedi that had the "Light Whip".

I agree on the most of what you said for Obi-Wan Kenobi, despite coming dangerously close to the Dark Side, he never succumbed to it :)

Lets not forget having no personality or attitude at all, he was just a boring forgettable character/Jedi.
