I too, was going to mention 'Batman and Son'. And what happened after that? More pychos came into his fair city. It's sort of like a disease no one can treat: either the ol' supervillain escapes and wrecks havoc, new supervillains are introduced or organised crime gets a new master who takes control.

So noones saying that he would just turn himself in to the police? Given the circumstances (his secret identity and relationship with Gordon) they could keep it relatively secretive.

Hello!

I'm looking for a good comic book series to read. I'd rather having something that can be read from '#1 - ?' without having to dive into the continuity mess that is the "Big Two". I'd also like a series that is rewarding for long-term readers, and that previous events matter. Also, long-term writer/penciller collaborations is something I'm fond of.

Not be too fussy (its likely going to be an independent publisher), but do you know something that fits what I'm looking for? I've been reading The Walking Dead....is Fables any good?

Would be thankful for any suggestions.

Do comics count as literature? Does a Pow! Bang! Batman comic count as a classic? It's food for thought, so what do you think?

I know these forums are were people can find answers for such questions but it must get infuriating for some people. Seriously there is a thing called Google. It's probably quicker to use that, then writing and starting a thread.

Making it all the more sad Bill Finger isn't always credited as at least a co-creator. I believe he also (at least partly) had the ideas for the Batcave, Batmobile, Gotham City, the giant props, Robin's origin and some of the villains.
