this looks promising. prbly wont be as good as Spectacular but never know. also, i just watched the Smug Alert episode of South Park and every time this Spidey opened his mouth i was reminded of that.

okay, while I am getting sick of all the goddamned X vs. Y comics out there, this one intrigues me. If nothing else, Grant Morrison will at least make this series interesting.

Based on everything I've seen from the comics, it looks like the active X-gene is passed similarly to blood type. You have three alleles for the x-gene, 2 inactive and one active. The active is recessive to the inactive. Get two parents that are heterozygotic then their child could have the active x-gene. Then there is the Bombay phenotype, where people who are homozygotic for either the active or inactive alleles and give birth to an offspring who's phenotypic expression of the gene doesn't match the genotypic expression.

Probably made myself sound like an ass somewhere in there, but the point is that mutants are human. Being born with a mutation or not is like being born with blue eyes or brown eyes, blonde or red hair. Only if you are born with the former you can shoot lightning out of your ass or something.

I have just decided to start reading the most recent Green Lantern series and I was wondering if anyone thinks that I should read this as well. I kinda want to see Hal Jordan lose his mind (not really but, you know) but I am not sure if i should invest the time to read the whole volume.

i am just gonna say it: I pirate comics.

when i started getting into comics, I was unemployed and there wasn't anywhere to get new comics in my town. so i resorted to pirating. for a little while a few months ago i was living in a city with a comic store. whenever i had the cash i would go there and purchase the comics i wanted. still, i was unemployed so anything i couldn't afford had to be pirated. now i am back in the town without a comic store, still unemployed and still having to pirate comics.

i agree that if you like something you should pay for it but if you don't have the means at the time to pay for it, or even obtain it within the same month it was released, pirating can be useful. just saying.
