This is a tale of Drakaina- a she-drache that was created in World War II by eiter- a fluid that came from a pit that the Nazis had claimed control of. Intending to use the fearsome creature within, they soon found out that they were dealing with the Drachenkoenig (Dragon King) and were sent packing. The Dragon King destroys the remaining eiter in the pit, and flies away. |
Heironymous Meets His New Partner |
Heironymous holds an interview with Crystal Salt. He says, "Describe my office," and she does. He hires her as his partner. |
Heironymous in Indigo |
Special Agent Heironymous and Special Agent Crystal Salt are sent to Indigo City to oversee a dragon and trolls who are smelting and molding iron to help the rebuilding of Indigo after The Great Impact. While on this duty, they are attacked by a high tech samurai who is seeking to kill Heironymous. Heironymous is wounded by the sword, and makes the samurai tell him where he got it. This is when he finds out to his horror that the samurai has stolen Ascalon- the sword of St. George- jeopardizing a treaty between George and the Dragons. The samurai has also taken Ascalon as his name. After the fight with Ascalon in the foundry, Crystal wakes up in the hospital. Once discharged, she goes back to the hotel room she's been sharing with Heironymous, and finds the Prince of Dragons watching over him. The Indigo City International Bank and Trust is robbed overnight- the thief making off with the contents of all of the safety deposit boxes, and approximately thirty-five million dollars in cash. Sent by the Treasury to investigate, they have a brief encounter with Shocking Pink Dragon- the thief returned to retrieve her weapons. |
St. George: The City of Dragons |
A man and his guide hike through strange lands to get to the City of Dragons. While crossing the final bridge, the man throws the guide from the bridge. Once in the City, he is met by Heironymous, and Heiro' identifies the man as St. George. George mentions that Heironymous is the Drachenkoenig. George was invited to see the Tournament of Dragons. It is revealed that St. George's sword has not yet been recovered from Ascalon. |
Heironymous: The Search For Shēngxiào |
Heironymous & Salt have been pursuing a shapechanger while searching for the source of Wish- a pill that grants wishes. The chase takes them into a warehouse where the Wishing Demon is making a deal with the Liberteens to sell Wish. The Wishing Demon magically sends the agents and the shapechanger across the river. There, Heironymous and the shapechanger face off, and Heiro' realizes that the shapechnger is "Shen" - or Shēngxiào - his wife. Shen escapes, but having led them to the source of Wish, they opt not to pursue her. |
Paulette & Chaffin: The War on Wishes |
Heironymous & Salt have to team up with police detectives Mary Paulette & Gragg Chaffin, and a group of Real Life Super Heroes, to fight the Liberteens, and stop Wish from destroying the economy. |
Pandora Jones and the Crab Man's Corpse |
Heironymous & Salt are called to the scene of a dead body. Detective Pandora Jones of the Paranormal Investigations Division is also called in, because the body is moving and gibbering in an unknown language. Pandora is able to command Heironymous to not follow her down to the body, and says she did so because she hates dragons. Observing the corpse while talking with Special Agent Salt, she uses a magic glove to exorcise an apparent demon from the body. She then produces a small box from her pocket, lets out a creature she calls Hope, and Hope drags the demon back into the box with her. While leaving the crime scene, she turns back to tell Crystal that she has an interesting timeline, even without Heironymous. |
Hole in the 4th Wall Bar, The |
Heironymous hires Solomon Seal to find Chris Bishop so he can meet with him. Heiro' reveals to Seal that Bishop is their creator. He then demands that his continuity be straightened out. On the next visit to the bar, Chris tells Heironymous that he is going to have to marry a monkey for a contest. The dragon balks, but Chris tells him he doesn't have a choice. On a third visit, he comes to complain that his crossover is still in circulation, and brings someone else's copyrighted character with him. |
Swingy-Dingy of Oz |
Heironymous and Salt respond to a request for aid from Oz, only to find out that they want Heironymous to marry a Fire Monkey named Swingy-Dingy to stop Toucan the Terrible from causing a disaster. Heiro' refuses, instead pledging to stop Toucan. He has to take the Red Brick Road to the Volcanic Flats, and is accompanied by Salt, Swingy-Dingy, Princess Emma, and Wantowin Battles (the Royal Army of Oz). On the trip, Salt is lost to the Fairies. When they reach the Flats, they have a brief fight with an army of Fire Monkeys and Toucan's avatar, Flaming Angel. Seeing that they cannot win, Heironymous agrees to marry Swingy-Dingy. With the marriage sealing an alliance and assuring peace, Swingy-Dingy tells Heironymous he can go back to his land, as long as he promises to come to their aid if it is needed. |
