I just keep thinking of that time he did the same pose and outfit for two different covers, Wolverine and The Dark Tower.

Hey guys, first time thread poster, so if I've placed this in the wrong spot, my apologies. Out of nowhere I've suddenly remembered bits and pieces from an adult audience comic I was exposed to (probably the best term for it) years ago, and I was wondering if anyone familiar enough with obscure comics from the 90s might have an idea of its identity.

What I can remember from it:

  • probably a one word title
  • Likely published in the early to mid 90s at the latest
  • Lecherous mad scientists and bureaucrats were served martinis from Playboy bunnies
  • The mad scientists were turning sexy naked women into masculine green Hulk-like (perhaps reptilian?) mutants. Cue the violent content. The cover of said issue had a closeup of one of the creatures.
  • I think the comic's creator had a photo of himself on one of the last pages, singing a deliberately lewd song... wearing a Hawaiian shirt maybe?

I was in grade school when one of the usual troublemakers sneaked this into our class. I remember him saying his mother only allowed him to have it if he scribbled over the naked lady parts with marker (classy parent is classy). Anyway, for the life of me, I can't remember what series this was and now I'm curious. Does it sound familiar to anyone?

Well you guys have certainly given me some ideas of what to read next.

As for ones I've found to be disturbing... I wanted to pick a certain storyline from Preacher, but each one has some real kickers of their own, so I'll say the series in general. Hideout, by Kakizaki Masasumi (I dunno, there was something just so... desolate and unfair about that one). The Holes, by Henmaru Machino (definitely not for anyone with trypophobia). Grit Bath, by Renee French (screwed up throughout). Black Hole, by Charles Burns (my pick for a specific scene would be where a female character tries to stop some drunk assholes from ruining her paintings and they decide to gang rape her. I just felt awful after that).

It seems a lot of films lately have been fizzling out at the end like that. I can understand that sometimes one knows how to start with a bang and yet wrapping it up is difficult. If only it could happen less often though...

Personally seeing the ad for Kickass first made me roll my eyes at this one. But who knows if either of them will be good right now... only time will tell.

I was about to say I had some already scanned, but then read more of the descriptions (right now all I have scanned are from ultimate). I can scan some stuff from the X-Men Forever mini series though, as I seem to remember a shot or two of him in the suit.
