Batfamily

They're creepy, spooky, not-so kooky, they're the Batfamily~

The people considered "part of the family". I'm not putting groups like the Outsiders or Birds of Prey because they are not really part of the family or even the extended family. I don't think Batman would consider them part of the "closest allies" bit.

List items

  • The head honcho, the patriarch, the night, the BATMAN. Danananananana BATMAN~

  • The Man Who Raised the Bat and, depending on how they're being written that day, the most sensible of the family. Everyone loves this guy!

  • The original and best known Robin the Boy Wonder, he made his way to fame as Nightwing, and was even Batman for a while. Currently (?) a secret agent. The name's Grayson. Dick Grayson.

  • The second Robin and current Red Hood. Controversially killed off by phone poll way back in the day, he's back and (IMO) more awesome than ever.

  • The third Robin and second Red Robin, Tim is our adorable nerd who gained every fanboy's dream.

  • The Son of The Bat. Apparently this makes him different from all the other sons of the bat running around, because, uh.....he CAPITALIZES it I guess. Robin.

  • Robin in an alternate universe. AKA Catgirl. Has the distinction of being the first female Robin.

  • Daughter of Batman and Catwoman from an alternate universe. First Huntress, then Robin, current Huntress.

  • Daughter of a third rate super villain loser, she became something more. She was the Spoiler, then Robin the Girl Wonder (the first mainstream one!), then Spoiler again, then Batgirl, and now I think she's Spoiler again. I put her here to transition to Team Batgirl. She went under the superhero guise "Katavi" once and will, in the future, be known as Nightwing, apparently.

  • The first Batgirl and the supremely badass being known as Oracle. Robin in a few alternate universes.

  • Originally (?) known as Betty Kane, the 60s Bat-girl, she went by Flamebird after the crisis and now goes by Hawkfire. Poor girl got whomped by the crisis so bad she now goes by "Bette" instead. Well, actually, they used to be separate characters and then they were combined and it's all very much a headache. Comic books are WEIRD.

  • The original Huntress in the Post-Crisis world, she is now a secret agent. She also served as "The Bat" for a time. She was meant to be, functionally, a female Batman but when he got back, neither he nor Babs approved, and she was largely treated by DC as a Batgirl, so we'll go with that.

  • The second official Batgirl and the first Black Bat, Cassandra is by and large considered the greatest martial artist in DC. Also has the distinction of being the first Batgirl adopted by Bruce.

  • An unofficial Batgirl who formed her own identity - Misfit. She was Barbara's ward but has disappeared since the reboot happened, so who knows where she is now?

  • A future Batgirl, seems to be a sidekick/partner of Stephanie Brown's Nightwing.

  • Another future Batgirl, from the Batman Beyond universe.

  • Batgirl in an alternate universe.

  • Harper Row - New 52 member who is currently going by Bluebird.

  • The badass on-again, off-again hero of the East End. She keeps them peaceful. Also the most common mama figure, with her relationship to Bruce.

  • Catwoman's sidekick....for like two seconds.

  • Jason's "assistant" as Red Hood because he apparently no longer likes the word sidekick. She was last seen asking to stay with Jason before the reboot happened. No word on her since then.

  • Back when she lived in Gotham anyways.

  • The new Azrael, ex-cop Michael Lane.

  • The second Catwoman when Selina had her baby.

  • The Question, and a former ally as a cop.

  • Batwing, member of Batman Inc.

  • The post-crisis Batwoman.

  • Pre-crisis Batwoman.

  • Alternate universe Robin.

  • Batman from an alternate (?) future.

  • A member from an alternate (?) future.

  • Team physician.

  • The French Batman from Batman Inc.

  • THE primary Bat-supporter and cop resource. One of the few honest cops, he is not to be trifled with.

  • A member of Team Batgirl, she was Steph's tech support when Oracle couldn't be there, and proved to be a loyal asset.

  • Former Azrael, former Batman when Bruce broke his back.

  • The dog.

  • The other dog. So much for Dami being a cat person.

  • Alfred's daughter. A cop and a member of the British army.

  • Luke Fox, son of Bruce's right hand of the business world, MIT graduate, and, oh, yeah, the new Batwing.

  • Being a motocross kid is a useful crime fighting skill. *nod nod*

  • An old member during the 90s-00s. Killed by Black Mask during War Games.

  • Another member we see less and less of, she used to show up quite a bit.

  • They don't hang much in the comics, but they do in Lil Gotham and the new show, so here she is.

  • Alternate universe Batman.

  • Okay, so, she's never been a hero or a major ally. But considering her and her husband's deaths helped FORM Batman, it felt wrong not to include her.

  • Another police ally.

  • Stephanie's cop ally.

  • Sometimes, when she's in Gotham.

  • Back before she bit it, she was a bit of an ally.

  • Damian's mother, sometimes plays a maternal role for Jason as well, but she's also had romantic interactions with him so lets not go there. Batman's sometimes lover and sometimes ally, she's also a sometimes enemy (especially when Morrison writes her).

  • Their press ally, sometimes.

  • When he lived in Gotham.

  • Bruce's business right hand, and the father of Tiffany, Tam, and Lucas.

  • Tim Drake's largest ally when he was Red Robin pre reboot.

  • Their tech guy. He made the majority of their weapons before Hush killed him.

  • In his human form, he sometimes is an ally.

  • As is his wife.

  • He's not always helpful or even good, but he is usually a member.

  • Alternate universe.

  • Don't ask me.

  • A Native man serving as Batman for his area.

  • Batman of Australia.

  • Batman equivalent of Argentina.

  • Errrr, sort of? He's considered one of the "Batmen of All Nations" anyways.

  • Former Knight, the Batman equivalent in England

  • The second Knight, Batman equivalent of England.

  • The third Knight, and the current one.

  • The Batman equivalent of Italy.

  • The Batman of All Nations from France.

  • Man of Bat's Robin equivalent.

  • A Batman of All Nations from Europe.

  • Bruce's son, future Batman.

  • Future Batman.

  • Future Robot Batman

  • Another future Batman.

  • Rochelle is Bruce's little sister in an alternate universe.

  • Future Robin.

  • Batman Inc. member.

  • Batman Inc. member.

  • Alternate universe Robin, formerly evil.

  • Member of Batman Inc.

  • Yet another member of Batman Inc.

  • AI based on Alfred.

  • As a member of Sons of Batman.

  • The one who was part of the Sons of Batman.

  • An ally in the police department.

  • A former ally in the police before her death.

  • Helps out sometimes.

  • Damian's cat. Just wait, we'll have a BatCat soon. Selina will be very proud!
