@DonJack:

Agreed, my hope is that CV doesn't become a haven for these kind of poorly substantiated biased/opinionated articles.

Seems like something I'd find in a bad blog or forum, rather than a front page CV story from staff.

Terrific choices. I'm really happy to see Popeye as well as the Star Wars cover make it!

I hate that I haven't fallen in love with the new Teen Titan book yet. Maybe this crossover is just what I need, it is a little exciting.

Looking forward to some hopefully great Teen Titans and the Ravagers!

I disagree with pretty much everything said in the article. I don't believe Superman or Batmans costumes have changed all that much since the originals - a little color changes, loss of supes panties, pointier ears... no matter how I look at them I don't think the changes over the years have been huge. No more or less, in my opinion than the changes in Wonder Woman's costume.

As for the costume being all Wonder Woman's got.. well even to have raised that question tells me it isn't worth my explaining why she is powerful and relevant. If people can't see why she is a force to behold beyond her clothes it would be a waste of my breath to try to enlighten them.

With all characters and stories there are fans who get them and naysayers who do not. I get Wonder Woman and Batman, whose costumes I am fine with, though I think Batmans pointy ears are silly. Funny how I don't get Superman and I do happen to have always found his costume to be ridiculous. Definitely a plus that he finally lost the red man panties. ;}

I'm adding Worlds Finest to my pull list - I'm just plain curious and hoping it will be fun.

I'll also be pulling Ravagers hoping it will help fill that place in my comic loving heart left by the previous Teen Titans.

Wow, this makes me really happy! I love digital comics but I am not willing to stop purchasing my hard copies and it looks like now.. I really can have my cake and eat it too. :D

Ok Marvel now, give us more women creators & heroines and you'll be forgiven...

How I choose is a mixed bag of all the criteria you've mentioned and my own quirky OCD. :D

There are a few series I have pulled so long the thought of dropping them (And I have thought about it) is pure mind blowing craziness... I can't let them go even when they are sucking & killing my brain cells; Detective Comics, Uncanny X-Men, Wonder Woman, X-Men Legacy.

Now and then there will be a creator whose work I will pull just because she is a part of it; example Gail Simone, I'll pull anything she writes. A more recent example is Snyder his runs on Detective Comics and American Vampire have me jonesin to experience anything new he puts out.

These last few years I have also, become very loyal to pulling books based on women/girl characters as in Ms. Marvel, Birds of Prey, Batgirl, Supergirl, Batwoman, Buffy, X-23, Lady Mechanika, Red Sonja, Witchblade, Star Wars: Knight Errant, Catwoman, Orchid, Anna Mercury etc etc.

More recently, my interest has been piqued by science fiction-y, horror and magical fantasy books.

As my subscriptions to many of the new 52's reach their 12th issues, (my OCD will not let me drop them before 12) I will drop several of them and begin picking up new books along the lines of Walking Dead, Star Wars and a new one catching my interest is Grimm Fairy Tales. I'm evolving a bit moving away from the super hero books.

I am also becoming more aware of wanting to support books with women writers/artists. I think I will be much more actively seeking & searching out women creator books in the future.
