Power Girl gets herself a new costume for Lazurus Planet back-ups in Action Comics.
Notice the jacket, setting her into the Superman Family? There's also one where she's sitting in that outfit on a couch with Nightwing and what appears to be Gar as a small cow or something Weird, but a good bit of art, sorry I couldn't find it to post here.
Don't know if this stays in Lazarus Planet, or if it's going to be her new costume. Keeps the window and adds an "S". Looks to be old-school. With that jacket and the button and chain, she's ready to lead that band down the parade route! Without it, she's ready for a hard aerobics class! Seriously though, it's mostly a nice design, (and the "S" must be chalked up to marketing---the price we pay for DC to use her again. It doesn't mess with the window, so I'm cool with it. Maybe lose the button and chain.
This article was published in 2016. The producer of The Flash said that Power Girl could possibly appear as the Flash/Arrow universe or Earth-1 version of Supergirl.
What about Power Girl appearance in The New Golden Age #1 which showed her in 1940s predating Superman?
I heard about that. Personally, I don't really like it that much---but given the multiverse, and her other upcoming appearances, I doubt that's the in-continuity version. Though I would love a maxi that put her in 50s Vegas with the look Darwyn Cooke gave her, that Marilyn Monroe style, perhaps a sci-fi noir sort of deal, out of continuity of course.
@achilles100: sorry can you specify which covers you mean? I'm trying to get them all so want to make sure what and where to acquire Power Girl covers.
Well, from my very faulty memory, they were variants to some of the Lazarus Planet stuff. One featured PG posing glowing eyed standing in what looks to be a wetland of some sort in front of what might have been the Justice League's headquarters or perhaps a city, maybe Metropolis. The other featured a scowling Supergirl doing the Harrison Ford pointing thing at glowing eyed SG, with a distressed looking Omen. They looked to be about to fight. One might have been a variant to the finale. IIRC they were both like one in fifty variants, so they might be pricey.
That's five Power Girl variant covers in January (2 JSA, 2 AC, and now 1 WF)
Nice cover! I like what they did with the costume. She's definitely Kryptonian at least, since one variant shows her with the heat vision glowing eyes. And another where she appears to be set to fight SG yet again, with Omen in the middle.
