Has there been any word on Damien in the DCnU?  I assume he'll just be Robin?

@castleking:
You've struck a chord with me with that last point.  I'm from Northern Ireland and there there is so much weight on the question of 'Where are you from?'  The answer can vary wildly from 'Northern Ireland' 'The United Kingdom' 'Britain' 'The north of Ireland' 'Ireland' 'Ulster' There are probably more but each answer, intentionally or otherwise, is a statement of your believes (of politics, heritage etc)

Out of interest, do you think the OP suggestion that the moniker 'Latin' is fair?  Do you think attitudes towards the term 'Latin' or 'Latino' vary regarding geography or politics? When you see a 'Latino' character like Montoya are you happy, indifferent or go away feeling kinda patronised?  I know there's another thread regarding nationalities in comics by RazzaTazz (I linked the blog page and not the article itself, she does many and they're pretty good to read through) and a few people don't see representations of their nationalities but rather a narrow perspective of themselves clumsily bundled in a cliche.  Or in my personal experience, I call it the 'Lucky charms' effect.

And lastly as not to be seen as hijacking someones thread.  Montoya is pretty cool, had a great bit in Batman: Gotham Knights and she makes a good Question.  Also what about Bane? He deserves a shout.

@.Mistress Redhead.
Both are BBC here's the initial protest and here's one that went on in London.   I must apologise though, my memory wasn't true to the real gist of the movement.  Re-reading them, it appears that the movement is more rallied against the idea (foolish notion) that the rape of a woman can be attributed (even partly) by the way she dresses.  Apologies for any misdirection. However, with most movements I'd hazard a guess that there are still people under it's banner who seek more or different goals (eg the equality as discussed before.)

That said it should be noted that both protests took place in somewhat stereotypical uber-occidental places though.  Whilst the idea of reclaiming the word might work in those post-modern places where feminist ideas are taking root, my question is this:  Could this idea take root in less educated or more traditional regions?  And in the lovely world we live in where we can communicate to one another instantly across the world, would it survive even in those places?  The stigma of a 'slut' is ripe in a lot of cultures and if those cultures have internet access and an opinion, what makes it any less valid than yours or mine?  I truthfully believe to call a woman who sleeps with 20 a slut but a man doing the same a stallion is beyond a joke but if popular belief is otherwise, where's the hope in changing the idea?

Those questions aren't rhetoric, how could we actually change the opinion of many regarding this subject?  Is it more viable through education, more immediate through information or more permanent through legislation?

@castleking: See I live in the UK so I've had very little encounters with 'latino' culture but to me it's (while not the quite to the same extreme) kinda akin to using the word 'coloured'.  It suggests that people originating from Brazil share the same culture as people from Argentina.  Maybe the 'coloured' example is clumsy but it all alludes to those lazy thinkings of 'Africa is more or less one country' 'China's like a big Japan' etc etc.

Thanks duder, probably saved me a few awkward conversations down the road.

@Undeadpool

Ten minutes later, after he stopped laughing, he assured me that I wouldn’t

 That made me cackle loudly.  Know this though, you've probably had an experience that thousands would have loved to have had.  If you get the chance before you leave proper, interrogate JoeyF for his video editing skills.  I'm out of university and it warms me to know there are places out there that will provide internship.  I look forward to this weeks podcast and all the best in your future endeavours!

Maybe while we're all here can someone tell me if 'Latino' is offfensive/kinda old way to regard someone?  I was honestly coming thinking we were gonna talk about Aeneas.

 haha is 'In sickness and in health' regarding forum threads as well?  I jest, no offence intended.  Quick question regarding moderation though, is there a forum for the discussion of what is right and wrong regarding moderation?  That might be getting a bit too meta but it'd be cool to discuss what's acceptable and not (however as I type that I does sound like 'It'd be interesting to see what route's safe in a minefield')

Back on topic. There is the recent movement of Slut Walks which sort of supports my initial thoughts.  They carry the objective of promoting equality in regards to social bias towards those who are promiscuous but I think it falls down because I think that word might just be beyond reclaiming for the foreseeable future.  Regarding one night stands and the ilk,  I think those are a result of care-free attitudes.  That said, people can be care free because 'hey, I'm at university, I'm young, this is awesome' or a much darker version 'hey no cares about me, why should I care?'

In defence of Johns,  him coming up with why all these superheroes came back were because Nekron was letting 'death's door ajar' and thus planting sleeper agents was somewhat of a creative coup.  Love him or hate him, he believably created a logical path in his writing that neatly put to rest questions regarding Meta-revival that has plagued the publisher for decades (maybe before he was born).   It takes smarts to do that and he has to get some credit or respect, as begrudging as it may be, for that alone.  In defence of Queseda, I think the guy was trying to clean up the plot hole riddled mess that was our beloved Spidey.  Plus the new GF roller derby's and hand on my heart, that's hot. =P

All in all, I don't think there will be anyone in the position of these guys that won't find themselves unpopular at some point.
