All we got in WF #2 was a typical, boring brawl between our superheroines and a cliched supervillain. The art is poor. We rarely get to see PG win a bikini. Why did it have to be with Perez (who draws her boobs on the small side) and that amateur inker Koblish?
Power Girl
Character » Power Girl appears in 1722 issues.
Kara Zor-L is the older, wiser, and stronger counterpart of Supergirl from Earth 2 but resides on the Prime Earth.
World's Finest #2
I actually really liked it. A lot of it had to deal with how lost they are and how little they know about the world they've found themselves in.
@SoA: The bikini is a side issue. I'm mainly complaining about the writing and the drawing. Is the "new look" going to make PG a more serious with character with stupid brawls with Jack Kirby style super-villains? If the art and story were better, I'd tolerate the new costume. Her boobs are only small in this title because that's Perez's custom. I know there are other comics with boobs in them and I don't buy them. I like Power Girl.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with the OP. The second issue did nothing to improve my opinion of where the book is going. There were a couple of good moments in it between PG and Huntress, but they were all too brief and were not nearly enough to hold my interest over everything else. I still don't like the art (especially since it's split between two people, the shift is just unnecessary and jarring), with PG looking quite ugly in most of the panels (no, I am not referring to her boobs, before people jump down my throat. Her hair is horrendous, her face is still narrow and bony, and her costume... yeah, that's a whole other issue. I can barely even tell that this character is supposed to be PG). As for the story, yeah, it was pretty boring. A big long fight, which still isn't over yet (if the covers/solicits are anything to go by, they're still fighting this guy by issue 4...). It gets one more issue from me, and if it still doesn't improve, I'm dropping it.

That was Maguire, not Perez.
@achilles100: OKay, I forgot that was also a flashback. I'll just change my complaint to "Why did it have to be Maguire who drew PG in a bikini?" It would also have been wasted on Perez if he'd done it though. Anyway, the whole comic was bad - story, characters and art. It's just particularly a shame about the bikini.
oh gosh. more people complaining about not enough T&A.
Btw anyone excited about Powergirl meeting Superman?
@sethysquare: No, just badly drawn T&A. Nor am I excited about badly-drawn PG meeting badly-drawn Superman.
