We learned in Power Girl #1 that she established a civilian identity as Karen Starr and got a job and such. What does she do exactly? I haven't been able to find the comic at my local comic shop to see and I can't order it offline :(
Power Girl
Character » Power Girl appears in 1721 issues.
Kara Zor-L is the older, wiser, and stronger counterpart of Supergirl from Earth 2 but resides on the Prime Earth.
What is Power Girl's day job?
I for one hope she gets her company back (but not the way Tony Stark did in the early 90's). She's probably the only member of the Superman family that started her own business.
@Primmaster64:
Not super rich. I mean, how much does a CEO of a newly-established software/tech firm make a year after the company is established (or re-established, in PG's case)?
@G'bandit:
I don't think she'd stoop that low. Look at She-Hulk. She's got an almost amazonesque physique and she never went down the catwalk....down the catwalk....hasn't done that little turn on the cat-walk.
HA! So much for a "Brightest Day"......Look what's happened so far: Maxwell Lord is running amok and caused quite possibly one of the biggest mindwipes in comics; Lian Harper was killed during "Cry For Justice, causing Roy to inch toward the "dark side"; Ryan Choi was killed; Bruce Wayne's return could wipe out existence; and now PG is in danger of losing the business she built from scratch! DC, what has gotten into you?
I think it's time the fans wrote quite possibly the biggest fan letter in comic book history, something of the level of the Declaration of Independence.
" She just needs to compress a few lumps of coal in her hands to make her money back. "As long as she doesn't overdo it, like in Supes: True Brit, Superman crushes so much coal into diamonds, their price go down drastically and people around the world don't have coals anymore
" @WW-Fan said:That's hilarious. They all need champagne glasses in their hands while they're carrying on these conversations." @RedK said:Maybe a bit more than "enough to get by" :Pbut she has more then enough to get by "yeah she had some money but i doubt it she is rich all ready :) "
(From JLA #08) "
I imagine her day job is being a poster girl for those 'Wonder Bra' 'Super Bra' posters you see on clothes magazines etc
To update all this, yes, she's rich, probably very rich. On a par with Bruce seemingly, at least in the very latest issues of her comic. She has her company back, it's a huge success, and is steamrolling all her competitors with superior products. She's also buying a 24 hour cable news network. And is supporting some big charitable initiative in Africa along with Bruce Wayne. Her company is evidently deemed to be very important to US national security, since that agent guy from the previous issues is back as her minder/protector/adviser---which ticks her off quite a bit.
As Bruce/Bats tells her, she's "A shaved head away from being Lex Luthor"...
