Personally I feel that this will lead to a "Power Girl" that attempts to be serious like so many other DC titles but fails to engage the reader. Unfortunate since "Power Girl" was one of those titles that could be read for entertainment and fun alone.
This is an opportunity to see what another creative team can do with the character. I felt that the title was very inconsistent with other portrayals of Power Girl in titled like JSA and JSA vs. Kobra, though I was just starting to like the title. I'm looking forward to the announcement of the creative team on this one and seeing what they do with the book and how it will relate to the rest of the DCU, which Power Girl's solo title has yet to do.
@Portrait: I agree with you on the new creative team thing. I really liked Nicola Scott's art on Secret Six. I hae a feeling I'm going to like the book still, but I'm really sad that Conner, Gray and Palmiotti are off it.
I hate to say this.. but if the new creative team will screw the comic up, thus scarying away the readers, this might actually happen :( I just hope IT WONT happen, because Im very new to this comic..and I want to read it still for many, many years to come! :-)
