Tony, Corey, and Mat run their motormouths for close to three hours, discussing this week's comics and other things. Find out what the latest is, right now!
Not a fan of the Marvel UK bashing considering how many writers and artists worked on them such as: Alan Moore, Paul Cornell, Dave Gibbons Simon Furman and Grant Morrison.
@g-man I tweeted you about X-Men Legacy 300 & you should read it, it's a standalone issue. Simon ended the Legion story in issue 24. It's so good, every body else should go read it if they didn't.
To the duder who asked to help him cut some books I would say DO NOT drop any of the Image books. Marvel and DC are are hugely rich corporations so if you drop or even trade wait some of their bigger books then chances are it won't make a bit of difference to them but to do that to any of the indy books could lead to the book dying since they don't have the financial backing
Why do you guys hate Forever: Evil so much? In my personal opinion its so far above Battle of the Atom and Age of Infinity its not even funny.
I hate how it disrupts other books, not the event itself, mainly NIGHTWING and all the Dark Books. Personally, I just want these books to grow on their own and not be shoehorned into events. The event itself is fine.
@inferiorego: Or maybe it was that I was trying to answer the person's question and had mentioned before we started that I wanted to keep the podcast under three hours. Whenever I read the questions, there's very often an interruption over the question.
Heck yeah Zap Rowsdower! the greatest of Canadian action heroes! I've seen that mst3k movie waaaay too many times. That man looks like he should be teaming up with Wolverine.
@rob1157: I'm a teacher, and we have class on Fridays (when the podcast records). When I first started up at CV, I had a different job. I miss it, though -- will have to come back during summer break!
@g_man@inferiorego@undeadpool, is Greg the only one of you really into Green Arrow? I'm really surprised if thats true, no hate or anything but Green Arrow has been killing it issue to issue. I think the writing is just as good as the art too. Plus it has absolutely no ties to Forever Evil or other crossovers, just pure globe trotting arrow madness. Lemire has even stated he has no current plans for a crossover with Justice League United and that he has been pretty much building one large contained story since he and Sorrentino started, which will continue after Outsider War is over. I think Green Arrow is within the top 5 DC books currently being published, is their any reason story wise you guys are not really into it?
@themantisshrimp: It sounds like Corey enjoys it as much as I do. I don't think it's the best book or whatever, but it is currently my favorite from DC. I enjoy what Lemire's doing and Sorrentino's work is amazingly creative.
@mutant_god: Wow what a coincidence I just saw that episode last week and it was hilarious!! Was it referenced on the podcast or a comic book? Did I miss something? I was thinking of posting it during the podcast. XD

With so much other stuff to read, I'm just losing interest, but I do agree it's easily one of DC's top 5 books.
@inferiorego, I can see that. I only read about 10-12 books a month but if I spent the money I could easily add many more books that are just as great as what I'm reading now.

My favorite author cut his teeth on the not-so-well-aged Age of Apocalypse. We can love creators without loving everything they did.

Thanks for the podcast fellas. I never miss a week. Glad my question got asked this week but I'm ashamed to say in retrospect it wasn't as interesting as I thought it might be. I did get a solid answer thanks to @g_man since it didn't cross my mind that Shazam use to be published by someone else. Appreciate the knowledge drop duder. I would send in more questions but I prefer to ask things you guys haven't be asked a hundred times (which sad to say was like 80% of the questions this week) and I can never think of any.
I don't mind the music but Tony should realize it makes listening a lot more stressful for me. If someone so much as utters something that vaguely resembles song lyrics I sort of hold my breath and cringe half expecting a sound byte. Half the time nothing happens and the other half the exact song I anticipated starts playing. It makes the podcast somewhat less relaxing than it use to be. I also worry that one day someone will try to take legal action. Admittedly it still makes me laugh to hear Tony's bizarre taste in musical tangents. Keep up the great work.
