Planet Tamara is a very strategic place and thus is the theater of great battles between five federations.
The Elder called Champion made this planet his home since he is a warrior always willing to exercise. During his Quest for the Infinity Gems, Thanos comes to Tamarata and provokes the Elder. Both of them fight and the Mad Titan pushes his adversary to destroy the planet with one giant blow. Thus he is left wandering into space and needs Thanos to help him. This help is bargained for his gem and the planet is left completely annihilated.
