The Shokan Prince Goro is a four armed huge warrior that was undefeated for a long amount of time. A 2,000 year old half-human, half-dragon, Goro remains undefeated for the past 500 years. He won the title of Grand Champion by defeating Kung Lao, a Shaolin fighting monk.
Grum is a friend of Goro and ruler of Katala.

Leader of the criminal organization The Black Dragons, Kano fought in numerous Mortal Kombat tournaments. He is often seen with Raiden in numerous comics.

He is responsible for killing Scorpion's family, and blaming it on the original Sub-Zero, causing the two ninjas to murder each other. He then would resurrect them both as wraiths to serve him in hell. Quan Chi himself serves the fallen Elder God Shinnok, but not without having a hidden agenda of his own.
Raiden is the eternal God of Thunder and former protector of Earthrealm. After the second defeat of Shinnok, he ascended to the status of Elder God. As a god, he is used to thinking in terms of eternity rather than normal human life spans.
Rain is Edenian royalty who was orphaned during Shao Kahn's invasion. Rain was adopted and trained by the Edenian resistance where he became one of their greatest warriors. Rain betrayed the group to Shao Kahn for personal glory.
Reiko is a villain in the Mortal Kombat franchise, who served as General to both Shao Kahn and Shinnok's armies.
Reptile is a character in the Mortal Kombat series and the last of his kind. He is desperate for a master whom can revive his wiped out race.
The son of the Lin Kuei Grandmaster, Sektor was the first warrior to volunteer for the cyber initiative. Sektor became the leader of the Lin Kuei's cyber assassins in service to Shao Kahn.
Shang Tsung is Shao Kahn's arch sorcerer. Originally from Earthrealm, Shang Tsung absorbs people's knowledge and prolongs his life by stealing and consuming the souls of his victims, Shang Tsung has played host to the last nine Mortal Kombat tournaments in Earthrealm, stacking the odds in favor of his master.

A female Shokan and the master jailer for Outworld, Sheeva serves Shao Kahn and acts as a bodyguard for his resurrected Queen Sindel.
Shujinko is the protagonist of Mortal Kombat Deception. He goes through a quest to search for six powerful amulets (Kamidogu), but is deceived by the Dragon King, Onaga. Shujinko used his powers that which he received from the Dragon King himself, and was able to undo the menace that was started by his own hands. Shujinko had indeed defeated Onaga, only to be killed with every other warrior in the final battle of Armageddon.
Sindel was the queen of Edenia, wife of Jerrod, and mother of Kitana. When Shao Kahn merged Outworld with Edenia Sindel became his wife through conquest. Sindel sacrificed herself to place a ward around Earthrealm preventing Shao Kahn from setting foot on its soil.
A creation of Shao Kahn's, Skarlet was created from the blood of countless warriors and molded into a deadly assassins by the Emperor himself.
