Ruth, Amber, James-Michael, and Richard Roy are confronted with the fact that they have 24 hours to live – courtesy of the Foolkiller!

Omega is traversing the city when he is hit by surprise by one of Nitro's blasts. The villain thinks Omega is Captain Mar-vell, who last defeated him. When he realizes he made a mistake, he walks off, but Omega attacks him. Nitro blows up again, stunning Omega. Omega wonders at his unusually emotional response to being attacked.

James-Michael, Ruth, and Amber meet Ruth's old boyfriend, Richard Rory, who arrives on a bus. They go back to their apartment, not knowing that they are being followed by the Foolkiller.

Omega hears another explosion by Nitro and follows him. They fight, and Nitro seems poised to win, until Omega contains him in a metal cylinder as he is about to explode. Nitro's atoms blast up in the air, shooting out of the cylinder at great speed.

Omega is knocked out, and James-Starling feels it. Just then, Richard Rory gets a letter whose contents shock him. James-Michael picks it up to find a threatening note from Foolkiller.

Note: This issue contains the Hostess Superhero Ad, Captain America and The Sore Sir's Apprentices.
