In the heart of the Jebel, with the help of the two hotheads Calixte and Léon and with French diplomat's discreet support, native tribes unite to fight against the Spanish colons so as to regain their territories and obtain their emancipation. After the victorious battles on the field, time has come for negotiation, disloyalty and choices. Calixte has deeply changed. His heart belongs now to this dry but beautiful land, meanwhile his friend Léon hesitates to return as trafficker again. Their current triumph won't last long enough however...
