Once a normal human child, Oak was transformed by the reality-warping mutant, Mad Jim Jaspers in an event called the Jasper's Wrap. He and the other 'Warpies' where taken in by and began working for the R.C.X. and trained to be one of their super powered operatives.
Eventually, he and the R.C.X. came into conflict with Excalibur when Nigel Orpington-Smythe, aka Peter, subverted the agency, training and using the Warpies as his own private army. When they where ordered to capture Excalibur, Oak captured Kylun by knocking him out.
Oak later battled a depowered Captain Britain during Excalibur's escape attempt, but refused to deliver a killing blow when ordered to by Peter.
It is unknown if Oak later reverted to Human form like many other Warpies did.

Oak's main power is mainly super-strength.
