For a review with pictures, click here.Die for MeNightwing has been a solid book all throughout the DCNU. Last month, readers got their first glimpse of the new creative team with the new writer Tom DeFalco. DeFalco’s first story brought mixed responses from fans with many feeling that his story meandered without any solid focus, but I rather enjoyed DeFalco’s pacing as he gave due time to all the different aspects of Nightwing’s life. The focus for this month’s issue should be solidly on Lady S...

A short delay and finally Nightwing 14 is on the shelves and I'm not so sure it was worth and extra weeks wait. We got to see new writer DeFalco`s opening volley with issue 13 and well, it sort of petered off into obscurity the minute I finished reading it. If not for the reminders in 14 I wouldn't remember anything from last issue. Anyway, issue 14 starts off good, we get a dose of action and the continued search for Shiva`s next target. After a night on the town, so to speak, Nightwing goes fo...

This issue seriously has a dull cover. It's trying way too hard to be cool, especially with the rain. Nightwing and Lady Shiva are just taking up way too much space, and their fight poses are kind of awkward and static. Plus there's no background. It just looks so bland.Andres Guinaldo delivers some very nice artwork, bright colors and dynamic movement. A couple of the panels in the Lady Shiva fight are really really awesome. The only downside to Guinaldo over Barrows is that Guinaldo uses tradi...

I have been enjoying this series and with Dick Grayson being one of my favourite characters it's nice to see him have a good series, especially one where he's Nightwing the persona I prefer him as. I have been happy with the work Kyle Higgins has been doing with this series and although Tom DeFalco has done a decent job on this issue and the last I will be happy to see Higgins return next issue.PlotThis issue sees Nightwing continue his fight with the gang of thugs he was facing last issue. Afte...

THE GOOD: Andres Guinaldo is the perfect fill-in artist for this series. The best thing that he contributes has to be the fluid action that he is able to draw. The flips look real and the side kicks, everything just looks great. The backgrounds also provide a very nice place to have all of these occur. The story continues on from the last issues with Tom DeFalco writing. The focus on Amusement Mile is a great part because that is the main difference between Batman and Nightwing and when you see ...

who says a girl can't hit hard? Shiva can! 0

The story:In the last issue of Nightwing we didn't get to see Lady Shiva often, but this issue is action packed and full of Shiva getting multiple punches on Grayson. It was good fight, and it was displayed very well in the panels. On the other hand, the whole time I was reading I became so confused on why Shiva was attacking Nightwing in the first place. I literally had to read issue number 13 again to see if I missed anything. Everything was then cleared up in the end when we figured out there ...

Cover/Solicit - 5/5- Would I pick-up the comic based on the solicit/cover alone? Are the alternate covers appealing? Does the solicit/cover portray what happens in the issue?Art - 4/5- Do I personally like this artist's style? Does the artist stay true to the characters appearance?Colors/Ink/Lettering - 4/5- Does the work blend well with the artist? Is the coloring/inking enjoyable and easy to distinguish what's happening? Can I easily read the lettering?Layout/Flow - 5/5- Does the layout of the...
