Hisako Ichiki is a teenage mutant from Japan that studied at the Xavier Institute before becoming an X-Man. Her mutant power allows her to create psionic "armor", giving her enhanced strength and durability. She is currently enrolled at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.
Bird-brain is one of the Ani-Mators creatures, half human and half animal Bird-Brain was created on an island, which the Ani-mator called "Paradise." He escaped the mazes of the Ani-Mator and was took in by the New Mutants they made him a member and gave him his name.

Elixir is one of the students at Xavier Institute. Elixir is an omega-class mutant whose abilities have yet to reach their full potential. His power is to manipulate organic material on a genetic level mainly allowing him to heal wounds. He has also used his powers in offensive ways, killing William Stryker. He also has gold skin as a result of healing himself. His skin turned pitch black when he killed Stryker, suggesting that his color and emotion changes depending on how he uses his powers.
Empath is a mutant with the power to manipulate other people's emotions. Empath was a member of the first group of Hellions (at the Massachusetts Academy), and more recently, of the Mr. Sinister's team.
Shela Sexton, aka Escapade. She's trans, and she's also a mutant. Shela is a thief and a trickster, who uses gadgets to pull off her heists. She doesn't like to rely on her mutant power. She identifies as a supervillain — but a supervillain who only helps people.
One of the mutant babies kidnapped by demons during the Inferno. Face was raised in Limbo by the Government-funded Project Purgatory. His mutation caused him to lose his face. He is blind, deaf and mute. He is currently enrolled at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.
Feral decided that she no longer wished to stay with the Morlocks and expressed interest in leaving. The leader, Masque, would not simply allow her to leave - running for her life, Feral escaped the sewers and headed to Xavier's Institute where she would meet the New Mutants. Being the manipulator that she was, she was able to convince the New Mutants to aid and protect her from the Morlocks. This would lead them into battle against the Morlocks wherein the New Mutant prevailed. Happy with the results, Feral accepted the offer to join the New Mutants.

Icarus was a student at Xavier Institute. Had the ability of flight and healing. Deceased. carus was a mutant with feathered wings, brother to Cannonball and Husk. Icarus is the brother of Cannonball, Husk, Aero and Elizabeth Guthrie. He was killed in an attack by William Stryker and his men.
The youngest member of the original X-Men. Bobby is an Omega-level mutant, although it took some help from Emma Frost to realize this. Bobby's control of ice is vast; he can create shields, clones, spikes, slides and also freeze others. He was recently elected to Krakoa's X-Men
Jubilee is a long-time member of the X-Men and founding member of Generation X. She previously lost her mutant powers on M-Day, and then was turned into a vampire. Most recently, she re-gained her pyrotechnic abilities and was turned back into a mutant .
Was the only adult member of the original group. She has the ability to take possession of another person's mind.
Kitty Pryde (a.k.a. Shadowcat) is a mutant gifted with the ability to become intangible and phase her entire body through solid material. A talented prodigy, she became the poster child of the X-Men; eventually reaching maturation and becoming the team's current leader.
The son of Charles Xavier and Gabrielle Haller, David Haller is the powerful Omega-level mutant known as Legion. He possesses hundreds of mutant abilities ranging from telekinesis to reality warping, but each power is controlled by a different persona, which could be either benevolent or malevolent.
Jamie Madrox, also known as Multiple Man, is a mutant with the ability to create duplicates of himself through physical contact. These "dupes" can later be reabsorbed, along with all of their memories and experiences. Best known for his X-Factor history, he recently rejoined the newly reformed X-Corporation.
The younger sister of Piotr AKA Colossus, Illyana joined the New Mutants after being abducted into Limbo and developing sorcery powers. She has since re-formed the team following the X-Infernus storyline.
The New Mutants were soon captured by Selene after finding Amara, and Amara was readied for sacrifice. Selene was using her powers to drain Amara's life force, but a distraction made her knock Amara into a nearby pit of lava. This awakened her latent mutant powers of Lava Control and she overcam Selene. To Learn More about modern civilization, Amara's father then sent her to live with the New Mutants in the United States. Amara adjusted quickly to the outside world and was an integral member of the New Mutants.
